Harbaugh's Defensive Assistants
How can Harbaugh look at Ohio State's recruiting and what his CBs are doing in practice and hire Bob Shoop who can't recruit for shit to add to a staff of Nua, Brown, and Zordich who also can't recruit for shit? How can they continue to sign kids from Massachusetts that wouldn't be able to hack it playing for Eastern Michigan?

Why hasn’t anybody asked JH about firing Shoop? Is that true? The hire was terrible. Look at the Penn State board and there’s stuff about his wife getting in fights. He got fired from his only HC job for an inappropriate sexual relationship with a GA in the athletic department. Defenses at Tennessee and MSU were really bad. People have said he can’t recruit, don’t know where they get that, but it seems to match up with other giant red flags that should have been seen no? Maybe why DB play is so bad beside stubborn scheme

If that breaking story is accurate and no replacement has been hired.... negligence. Also that information hasn’t been made public?? This is still a public university and we have the right to know who is and is not coaching. Inexcusable.

Might explain why we lost every safety target we were going after considering he was supposed to be the lead on that. How the hell has no one noticed he’s been gone for 2 months? Why didn’t Sam Webb say anything? Why haven’t they announced a replacement? Helps explain why the defensive backfield is a mess if we’re short handed on the coaching staff.

Googling “Bob Shoop fired” brings up some stuff. He sued PSU which sounded really messy, got fired at Columbia. No mention of anything at UM yet though. Really questionable hire seems like.

Dave Brandon was criticized, and rightly so, for reviewing film with Hoke. But if I was Warde Manuel, I would order Harbaugh, Brown and Gattis into my office first thing Monday morning and ask them, “What the fuck are you guys doing out there?” I would base my decision to fire or retain them based on their response. Warde knows the game. If he senses he’s being bullshitted, the pink slips have to be delivered to 1, 2 or all 3 of them.

Zordich is fine the guy has sent almost all his CBs to the league. Think he gets a pass.
Everyone else though you're right on. Including the Massachusetts bit which is honestly stupid. Most coaches will just find the best players but Michigan has this thing for looking for diamond in the rough types, some have worked while some have not.

Why the hell would Mike Zordich get a pass? Because he inherited three All American CB's from Detroit and another kid Harbaugh climbed a tree for? Get real. Zordich hasn't signed one good cornerback since he's been here and the product he put on the field on Saturday was pitiful. I'm not even going to mention how bad his unit has played in the last few OSU games. He needs to go just like all the other defensive coaches.

Yea that's not true at all. He recruited David Long Lavert Hill Myles Sims, Darion Greene, Ben St Juste along with one of our highest rated recruits this year. Some worked out and went to the NFL some didn't but are starting at their new schools.
Literally all of his recruits are good cornerbacks.. "hasn't signed one good cornerback" LMAO

Lavert Hill was a Tyrone Wheatley recruit and David Long came because Harbaugh flew to California and personally recruited him. The rest of the guys you named either transferred or haven't done anything worth bragging about. You think DJ Turner and Jalen Perry and Vincent Gray are going to get it done against the WR's OSU is bringing in? They can't even cover a freshman on MSU. Let me borrow a phrase you just used, LMFAO if you actually believe the drivel you're peddling. CB recruiting is a huge issue in this program, quit denying it.

Very cool way of discounting the fact that Zordich played a big role in recruiting all of them and had 3 CBs drafted. Imagine thinking David Long came because Harbaugh climbed a tree, and that his relationship with Zordich the months prior had nothing to do with it. Zero cognition.

Our CBs have a reputation for grabbing and holding receivers on every play. The refs are looking for it. Why doesn't JH get on Don Brown for this? Why won't thwy try a zone? This program is so frustrating.
How bad is Minnesota?
Will Ryan Day try to score 80 on us? He is being kind to everyone else, I don't think he will take his foot off the gas against UM.

The Jersey tug definitely didn’t go both ways. Also I watched the OSU PSU game and there was way more hand fighting.
2 drives were definitely extended by questionable calls.
We were out played and out coached. DB play was unacceptable and I‘m not saying the officials cost us the game but 2 drives were extended by questionable calls and the same criteria wasn’t applied in another. Also if we had a different Officiating crew those PI would not have been called.
Expect Indiana to throw early and throw often. Gray and Green who were torched by White are going to be black and blue after Saturday.

I don't know. Our D struggles at times but is normally consistently good. Our offense was total C-R-A-P last Sat. The D did enough to have us win it. It' s been this same scenario for many years now minus about 3 or 4 games over the years where our D got drilled with 2 of them coming from OSU.
I get what your saying though .... we need more Dax Hill's and the like.
