Groggy, Sleep Deprived Friday POSBANG

Submitted by The Fugitive on

Hooo boy, it's going to be a long day.  All of you who took today off are smart.

Of course I stayed up to watch the game so I set my alarm a little later than normal so I could sleep in.  I stayed up well over 2 hours later than normal and...got an extra 10 minutes of sleep because my brain is a jerk.

Oh well, we got the win. Bring on The Hipster from Houston! Go Blue!

Lack of sleep is not my problem. I stabbed my eardrums with a pencil during the game. I just couldn't take it. Off to the doctor's office. Wish me luck.

My eyes hurt after watching last night, but my girlfriend is on a plane at 7pm tonight, and I have been trusted to be home alone all weekend with nothing to do....guess I'll watch a little basketball? Bang me til I'm blue!

I went 15-1 yesterday.  Stoopid-ass Arizona...

EDIT:  I lied.  Apparently, it's too early in the morning on too late a night for me to count gooder.  I only went 12-4.  Now I don't want another cup of coffee for fear that a second recount will leave with even less wins...

After a good night's sleep, feels like a gritty win even if ugly.  We advanced decisively after being down 10-0, will be one of less than 30 teams in the hunt for the natty when we play ready Saturday.  Happy Advancement & St. Patrick's Day Friday MGoBloggers, and bang bang !!

Woke up to a sick son at 5am, so on a day I should have been able to sleep in a little I had to take our daughter to school so my wife could stay home. Great start. But it's Friday so I'll do my sleeping tomorrow morning.

Sometimes getting the 1st win out of the way in the big dance is the toughest. Beilein's boys accomplished that regardless of how pretty it was. No team, no player, no coach, no referee, nothing will stand in our way from winning this tournament! DO MORE, SAY LESS!! GO BLUE GO!!

Wow! That was ugly! It looked like a church league game broke out on a sunday afternoon in the old dark, dungy lit gym with tile floors and a stage with curtains at one end. Truly survive and advance. We won't look that bad Saturday night.

Go Blue!

I'm not sure what was worse, having my eyes bleed from watching that game, or having my eyes bleed from watching a guy with a waxed man-bun drop 39 in the prior game.

Or having the camera pan to a young fan in the crowd with his own waxed man-bun.

For God's sake, bang me.

Taking a half day today and busting my ass out of this office at noon. Cleaning the house for my wife before she comes home but not without having the games on all afternoon.

Today, we get to just kick back and watch a stress-free day of basketball. And hopefully watch MSU shit itself against Bucknell.

a win nonetheless. Montana shot 32% from the field. How much of that was M contesting shots, altering shots, blocking a couple? A lot, I would say. Although several M players got into foul trouble, Montana only had 11 FT attempts, of which they made 8. M made a respectalbe (for them) 64% of their FTs (14-22), but many of those came during the FT contest late in the game. M's sharpshooters only made 31% of their 3's (5-16). And Ace was spot on when he said Montana attempted few 3's (15) and made even fewer (3) for a 20% success rate. X's two early fouls put him on the bench during most of the first half, but Simmons proved a credible sub.  And of course Charles Matthews chipping in his 20 didn't hurt, either --- it was about time he stepped up, which he did big time.

In all, Montana presented some challenges M hadn't seen much of previously, and that plus the long layoff meant a game like this one was not unlikely. Look for a marked offensive improvement tomorrow night.
