Griffin=Tebow

Pretty much self-explanatory, the love for Tebow and Griffin (especially officials' love) are unreal. Come on ESPN there are many more stories to talk about. It is getting ridiculous. By the way does anyone know how much they showed Mr. and Mrs. Griffin, had to be approx. 50. That wasn't getting annoying or anything... Pretty much what I would expect after watching 1/2 of OU's games... still it's irritating.

I have yet to hear all that many stories about Griffin being an amazing person or the greatest college player of all time. What they have said is he is an absolute monster in the low post and gets every rebound within his zip code, both of which are true. There is a difference between ridiculous praise heaped upon someone far exceeding his actual merit and talk of just how great a player is, in fact, playing. Cant' argue with the parent shots though, that was annoying. I will give you that, I would have much rather seen the OU cheerleaders.

seemed like griffin drew a lot of fouls by just jumping on the guys back who was blocking him out. i don't know anything about basketball but that was really annoying me

Have you ever watched a UNC game? The Griffin love isn't even close to the Hansbrough crap. Not only is TH the greatest player ever to walk the earth, he also TRIES harder than anyone in the country. What incredible EFFORT, he NEVER QUITS, etc, etc.

Yeah, I don't know what was more irritating: 1) Griffin getting NBA superstar treatment from the referees, 2) seeing his parents after every made basket/free throw (while not seeing a single Michigan parent all game), or 3) having Tim Brando go on and on about how he was a fucking Willis Reed clone for playing through a nosebleed (while never giving us an update on DeShawn Sims's status while he sat for 5+ minutes after getting hit in the face). Speaking of CBS, wouldn't it have been nice to have gotten a replay of the Michigan bench on that one play to see why we got T'd up?

nauseous when the commentators were talking Manny up during the Clemson game. I have no problem with star players receiving more love than other players but that doesn't mean every time they make a basket it was because they're a god amongst men. I have no problems Tebow/Griffin and would love to have them on the team but I would fault other fan bases for getting sick of hearing how totally stupendarific they are.

I wasn't surprised that Griffin received praise from the announcers - he is going to be the #1 player in the draft, POY for college, and has remained reasonably classy given all the abuse he;s received in games this year. He's an easy story to pontificate on, and most announcers want the easy out an already-written story gives them. But in either case, it's not the kids' fault for the over-saturation; both Tebow and Griffin seem to be pretty quiet, reserved kids both on and off the court/field.

who just walked in and out while I was watching said something about the parents and wondered if any other parents were at the game and wanted to know why every time she came into the room they were on the screen. I also wonder how someone can jump up and land on another guy can and the fall can be called against the guy he landed on and was just trying to get away from the 280 pounds that landed on his back. I also want to know when boxing someone out legally into the out of bounds area is a foul? I also want to know how Griffin can run people over and not get an offensive foul called and how Manny barely touches a dude and he flops and it is an offensive foul. I dont care if people think I am bitter....because I am bitter over the obvious preferential treatment that Griffin got. I also still dont get the T on Beilein when Taylor was bitching at a ref and didnt get a T called on him.
