Greatest Movie Casts of All Time
It's a Friday night and XM has been slacking on his drinking threads lately, so I thought I'd go with a different question. We've had threads about the best 80's movies, the best and worst sequels, etc. But I was thinking today about some movies with the greatest casts of all time. Not necessarily the best movies, but the movies with the best casts. There are certainly lots to choose from here: the Rat Pack, the Brat Pack (I'm an 80's/early 90's guy), or even the newer "Ocean's" franchise.
I'll start off with one out of left field: The Cannonball Run.

The original '12 Angry Men' (1957) is:
1) A legal drama that everyone must see---the.movie takes place entirely in one single locked room as the cast of 12 debates the verdict...
and 2) has an all-time all-star cast: Henry Fonda, Ed Begley, Martin Balsam, Lee J. Cobb, John Fiedler, Jack Klugman, E.G. Marshall, Jack Warden, Edward Binns, George Voskovec, Robert Weber, and Joseph Sweeney (each and every one of them movie heavyweights back in the 50's, 60's and beyond---google em!)
Another is the awesome cast of this:
... starring Fred Astaire, Rita Hayworth, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, John Bonham, and Robert Plant.

Rita Hayworth? Yes!
The only dancer/actress that Fred Astaire seemed overwhelmed by (as in, he seemed to be at a loss to discuss easily) was Cyd Charisse. IIRC, his only comment was "legs go on forever".
