Governator Schwarzenegger at MSU/ Michigan Tailgate
Kind of politics, but more civics so I'll post. I think few civilians actually want gerrymandering...

Love it. Beat Gerry. Beat MSU.

gif request for the talented: picture of arnold as conan, being asked the question,
"conan! what is best in life?"
"to crush sparty, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!"
(bonus points awarded if you can photoshop the winged helmet on his head. do it)

I didn’t read the article, but doesn’t one of his sons go to Michigan?

I believe Christopher Schwarzenegger is the Michigan student. If I remember correctly, he enrolled last year.

After he finished with CRISP he told his advisor, "I'll be back..."
October 15th, 2018 at 3:11 PM ^
You are correct, I wanna meet him, he’s been my favorite actor since Predator in 87’

The last few Terminator movies have been really disappointing.
October 15th, 2018 at 11:57 AM ^
They are just spoofs of themselves now. Buddy comedies with some explosions. Some forget how truly mesmerizing The Terminator and T2 were. A couple of the best action movies of all time but like most movie franchises it is just a money grab now.
October 15th, 2018 at 5:46 PM ^
They made movies after T2?

This has absolutely nothing football related anywhere in this article.
October 15th, 2018 at 12:12 PM ^
Oh, maybe you were confused. The MSU/Michigan tailgate is for a FOOTBALL game.

Yeah, it's kind of politics. And the most political thing going right now is the presumption that the redistricting proposal is just civics, and not politics.
It's politics, alright.
Everybody is free to make up their own minds about it; and there are arguments for and against. I am against. But I don't think that the mods want this forum to be used, by me, for that purpose. And at the same time I wonder why they would allow this forum to be used, by others, to promote it. I'm all set to go, if the mods wanted an interesting debate on the subject.
As a point of non-political and purely legal/academic interest, we would not even be talking about a redistricting commission but for a 2015 Supreme Court case, Arizona State Legislature v Arizona Redistricting Commission. It was a 5-4 decision in which the now-retired Justice Kennedy was the deciding vote. The majority and the dissenters were unusually bitter in their differences, over the interpretation of the Elections Clause (Art. I, Sec. 4, Clause 1) which states: "The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each state by the Legislature thereof..."

Let's not talk about politics, so here's a couple paragraphs about politics.
October 15th, 2018 at 12:44 PM ^
I was very much for it (On the surface, it just seems logical and right) until I began to read the other side about the consequences and impact down the road. Now, I’m not quite sure, but leaning toward against.
October 15th, 2018 at 1:19 PM ^
Just say the word "redistricting" within a mile of any politician and you'll immediately feel a strong breeze from all the huffing and puffing.
October 15th, 2018 at 2:56 PM ^
Should change your name to Section 8 after posting that.
October 15th, 2018 at 4:32 PM ^
Well, I'm pretty sure that "MGoHillbilly" is taken already.
October 15th, 2018 at 11:55 AM ^
Say it ain't so Arnold! Gerrymandering is an American political tradition. We can't get rid of that!

Agreed. They never would have been able to tax the rain in Maryland without it.
October 15th, 2018 at 1:45 PM ^
Harbaugh!! What is best in life!?
To crush your Sparty enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!

October 16th, 2018 at 2:21 AM ^
I don't give a damn about redistricting, but Arnold is the fuckin man. I wish I could be there.
