Definitely not safe.
Please take lots of pictures.

Actually, I think Notre Dame is one of a handful of stadia where you could get away with this. At ND's stadium, you are likely to get a few, "Nice to meet you!"s in spite of the chicken suit.
I will definitely be watching for the chicken suit on NBC!

False. ND is full of their share of mouthbreathing douches just like every stadium. I've absorbed many a middle finger from young, dimwitted ND fans for wearing my M gear to the games there, especially coming off W's the previous year.
September 6th, 2014 at 10:29 AM ^
Oh my gosh! Not middle fingers! The horror!
September 6th, 2014 at 12:24 PM ^
Middle fingers? Maybe.
I still say ND is one of the most languid stadia in the land. You meet all kinds of kindly little old lady types, who walk quietly, talk quietly, cheer quietly, and rarely raise their voices at the opposing team--much less opposing fans.
Take the chicken suit (or rather, an appropriately-themed costume of mockery) to East Lansing or Columbus, on the other hand, and you'll likely get hurt. Even polite, casual opposing fans have to dodge the occassional battery in those venues.

about getting into the stadium, they made my cousin take off his "Charlie Weis tried to eat me" shirt in 2010 when Denard did his thing.

Yes I did, and i want that shirt!

They made my brother turn his "RUDY SUCKS" shirt inside-out in '06. He obviously just reversed it again once he got through the gate.

Good luck.

But if this is legit, this is the most important thread yet.

When I see you on TV, I will fondly remember the time that I told you how I would feel when I saw you on TV.
Go for it!

Was devastated when I couldn't get a "Frightened Lads?" T-shirt last season. Will be at game and hope to get a photo with you.

Please make this happen. It is a good idea. It is more than a good idea. It is the best idea you've ever had- I'm sure of it. No, don't tell me about other ideas of yours, just do this one. Do it.
Do it.

But these guys will be rooting for you, likely because they don't know any better. Also, something about pooping in coolers.
I just snagged this off BTN.

Go now. No harm shall come to you.
September 6th, 2014 at 1:24 AM ^
I'll be there also but not in a chicken suit. I'll look for you. Very excited.
September 6th, 2014 at 1:32 AM ^
I would, at the very least, expect to get egged by some well wishing ND fans. I would assume that they are wary enough to expect some antics from the opposition with whom they chickened out of scheduling in the future. You may want to make it of tear away material so, if on the unlikeyly chance, M loses you can shed the suit quickly.

eggs? wouldnt that just perpetuate the whole chicken thing?
As others have said. Do it. DO IT NOW!!
September 6th, 2014 at 5:46 AM ^
Yes, chickens will always have eggs at their disposal.
September 6th, 2014 at 1:40 AM ^
It's probably safer than wearing Maize & Blue in Columbus for the game. There'll even probably be some Irish fans who find it funny.
Do take pictures.
September 6th, 2014 at 2:08 AM ^
However, I'll mail you a hundred dollar bill if you put a picture of yourself at a different setting and then one there with the suit on and your face in it on this blog. You give me any address and it's yours man. Give one out to my boy JFMR if you can. The difference maker and leader who wasn't there last year for the game!
