This isn't a new thing for Cowherd. He has been the biggest Jim fanboy on TV for quite some time. It might not always have been the case, especially when we were losing under RichRod and Brady Hoke, but he espouses the virtues of Jim Harbaugh almost weekly. IMO, the most reasonable voice on college football out there.

I have heard Cowherd hammer Michigan/Harbaugh before, I have heard him do this to many schools/programs and he is brash, loud, and says what's on his mind.... but I have agreed with many of his points in past situations. 

Im not a huge fan of his, and while yes he is backing Michigan here, he is just saying normal headed shit....which is why this is so refreshing. Stephen A. today, man, if people cant just see "CLICK BS HERE" from his non-sense...well, I cant argue with you anymore.  Even other ESPN analysts, I can tell by body language are like, ok STFU dude.   

Cowher is calling out the BS and hypocrisy, and while Im not going to full stan with his stuff, makes me appreciate his takes before on any other topic.  Call it like it is, and this is all bullshit.

Stephen A Smith is a complete tool. He reminds me of Jim Rome. There is NO WAY that is their normal talking voice. Complete showmanship. Which I find irritating and cannot listen to either one of them.

So this is definitely a case of "stopped clock, meet 12-hour interval of time", but at this point, sure props to anyone not being a ESPN parrot.

Here's the thing though.  Cowherd's schtick is smarmily performative contrarianism.  Sometimes he's right sometimes he's wrong, but even when he has an ostensibly reasonable opinion he cloaks it in such smarmy, too-clever-by-half arrogance that you feel heartbroken for agreeing with him.

And that's fine - he is what he is and it works for him.  But this isn't a situation of Gimli saying "I never thought I'd die fighting side-by-side with Colin Cowherd" It's just that while we happen to be on the right side of history this time, we're also on the wrong side of the media pillory so we're a conduit for Colin Cowherd to do Cowherd things.
