Because this team started so well and was 16-0 at home, it's easy to forget that they were 4-4 in their past eight games and 5-5 in road games before tonight.

Granted, they played against a quick team in front of a hostile crowd that influenced the officiating in what essentially was a South Dakota home crowd, but this may rank among the Wolverines' worst performances of the season, along with losing 70-48 at Louisville on December 6 and 104-80 at Iowa on February 27.

Although Maddie Nolan made a crucial 3-point shot tonight, she ended up shooting one for 10 and now is shooting 21 for 68 and 15 for 55 from beyond the arc since going five for seven and four for six on threes against Iowa in Crisler on February 6. Here's hoping that against Louisville on Monday, she can become like Spike Albrecht in HIS first half against Louisville in the 2013 national championship game.
