Thank goodness for week one 12pm games. I don't think I could have handled waiting until a Primetime kick off.

Heading up to Michigan after work. First time the kids and their cousins will tailgate. Then off to the game.

Ahh yes, the Friday morning of a 3-day weekend, when the drive in to work is speedy and without thrill so you arrive 30 minutes earlier than usual.  Where the drive home later will be fraught with more traffic than you knew existed, slow as molasses running uphill in January, and filled with a rage reserved for rabid Nebraska fans after a loss.

Despite this, the day brings relief that football season is finally upon us.  That the glory of a Fall afternoon - the best season of the year by a country mile - is here.  Tailgates, camp files, leaf piles, Halloween, Thanksgiving...  They're all here!  Finally!!

NOW LETS PLAY SOME FOOTBALL!!!!!!!

(Err, watch some football in our case...)

Been a long week, with endless reading assignments, endless lectures, and the requisite prognostications.  Time to BANG some heads on the Gridiron!  ECU, it's time to put on your water wings, your pirate crew gonna be taking a long walk off a short plank.

OMG Its finally here....  Football!!!

Looking forward to a special season...

My summer was spent following my younger son around with travel baseball and helping my older son adjust to post college life (he graduated in May)...

Took a tour through NY (visited Cornell University for my younger son, went to the Baseball HOF, circled back and hit Niagra Falls and then the Football HOF).  Lots of driving, but an awesome vacation...

Great summer, got tickets to games this year for me and my boys, its going to be great times for sure...
