Terps are playing like they are in a shell.
At least the PSU white out starts at noon and not 8 PM. Was there in 2017 and Franklin poured a 25 gallon drum of whup ass on us. Was out of there by middle of third quarter.
September 27th, 2019 at 8:23 PM ^
Penn State looks...
good.
September 27th, 2019 at 8:27 PM ^
Maryland looks terrible so far. As good of a run after catch as that was, it was worse tackling and angles. Maryland offense looks stagnant so far as well
September 27th, 2019 at 8:40 PM ^
PSU D will be a tough nut to crack for our lack of speed in space offense.
September 27th, 2019 at 9:44 PM ^
.... I’m standing by my statement that they look good. Maryland does look like ass though. Maybe all of Bamas 5 stars made Gattis and Locksley look like offensive masterminds. They fooled everybody.
September 28th, 2019 at 12:02 AM ^
Nussmeier too
September 27th, 2019 at 9:47 PM ^
The turtles be turtling!!!!?
September 27th, 2019 at 8:24 PM ^
Nifty run for PSU's WR.
September 27th, 2019 at 10:03 PM ^
Penn State QB 19/22- not good, not good at all
September 27th, 2019 at 8:24 PM ^
Wow, Penn State with a simple crossing route, making it look easy.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:11 AM ^
We’re gonna play man coverage so that should help.
September 27th, 2019 at 8:24 PM ^
Who is this KJ guy...
September 27th, 2019 at 8:24 PM ^
Cool play by Duke.
They putting a beating on Va. Tech.
September 27th, 2019 at 8:26 PM ^
Before I switched it over to the PSU-MD game I thought I heard them say VA Tech had the same offensive philosophy as Michigan, namely fumbling the ball a lot
September 27th, 2019 at 8:27 PM ^
Not a big fan of Penn State. Big fan of Maryland losing, since I want to go see us play them this year and not be humiliated.
That said, this football is at least fun to watch.
September 27th, 2019 at 8:29 PM ^
Was hoping for a good game, appears to be on it's way to a blowout.
September 27th, 2019 at 8:29 PM ^
Fuck.
Not as excited about playing Penn State as I was the beginning of the season**
**(or anybody not named Rutger and Illinois)
September 27th, 2019 at 8:35 PM ^
Goodbye #11 for PSU
September 27th, 2019 at 8:36 PM ^
Ivy league football sucks. Not sure why I was watching that.
September 27th, 2019 at 8:44 PM ^
It wasn’t Locksley or Gattis...it was Tua
September 27th, 2019 at 8:54 PM ^
Any scheme looks pretty good when every position on your offense is superior to every position on every defense. It's how we convinced ourselves that Nussmeier was even remotely competent.
September 27th, 2019 at 8:44 PM ^
Just gonna say after watching Gattis offense and Locksley offense, the real winner here was Saban
September 27th, 2019 at 8:49 PM ^
Penn State gonna rip our heads off and skull fuck us.
September 27th, 2019 at 8:59 PM ^
As long as it is in that order. Seems more humiliating to be skull fucked and then have your head ripped off afterwards.
September 27th, 2019 at 8:50 PM ^
Mary land
Ter rible
September 27th, 2019 at 8:53 PM ^
EDIT: Leaving this comment here to take my downvotes. I got confused and was thinking of tomorrow's game, where Michigan will face Sitkowski. I cannot even blame alcohol, as I'm stone cold sober.
Genuinely puzzled why people are criticizing Locksley? His starting QB is injured and the QB playing in his place (who he did not recruit) was the lowest rated QB in the entire FBS last year-- literally #128 out of 128.
The plays seem well designed, they've had running lanes (and even some big holes), they've had receivers running open. How do you scheme around the worst QB in major college football?
September 27th, 2019 at 8:56 PM ^
So what you're insinuating is that Locksley > Gattis.
September 27th, 2019 at 8:58 PM ^
Gallows humor at its finest. Take my upvote.
September 27th, 2019 at 9:00 PM ^
Thought Jackson was the starting qb?
September 27th, 2019 at 9:02 PM ^
Yes, see my edit. I'm not paying enough attention and was reading about tomorrows game with Rutgers and got confused. Usually I'm more careful before posting-- sorry!
September 27th, 2019 at 8:54 PM ^
Wonder how long until VT fans want Fuentes fired.
Considering his Wikipedia page lists his salary as “too damn much.”
I just always thought that moving on from an older coach for a younger up-and-coming head coach always worked out well for the school in question. Oh well.
September 27th, 2019 at 10:15 PM ^
If you can’t win 10 games in the ACC (1 L being guaranteed to Clemson) then you fucking suck as a head coach.
Btw why does the PAC12 get shit on as a conference when the ACC is much much worse.
September 27th, 2019 at 10:40 PM ^
The PAC12 doesn’t have Clemson. The ACC is only relevant because of them.
September 27th, 2019 at 9:02 PM ^
Who are the idiots that said franklin can't coach.
o yea, the smartest guy in the room.
psu looks good to me.
September 27th, 2019 at 9:12 PM ^
His decision making will cost them a game this year. Probably not against us but somebody.
September 27th, 2019 at 10:09 PM ^
Franklins in game decision making might be suspect but his off field decision making is A+. Dude knows exactly who to hire for what job and gtfo of the way.
Meanwhile Harbaugh is clueless in game and off the field.
September 27th, 2019 at 11:09 PM ^
Is that why Franklin is 3-12 against MSU, OSU, and UofM?
September 27th, 2019 at 9:40 PM ^
They looked mediocre at best against Buffalo and Pitt recently. Maryland really isn't a good team, and waxing a couple of chump teams have people crazy notions that the HC who is something like 5-31 in his career had figured it all out.
PSU is talented, but I swear this blog has the memory of a goldfish with massive CTE damage when it comes to opponents.
September 27th, 2019 at 11:08 PM ^
This.
Penn State has largely looked average against any team with a pulse.
Maryland may well have waxed a couple chump teams but let's not forget the lost to Temple and were largely bullied in that game.
Suddenly Penn State handling that team has the board nut hugging Franklin again? Jeebus.
September 27th, 2019 at 9:10 PM ^
MD getting blown out at home
September 27th, 2019 at 9:14 PM ^
What's so good about Saban where he makes everyone on his staff look like a genius? Just another level of excellence.
September 27th, 2019 at 9:24 PM ^
Hes college football's Belichek.
September 28th, 2019 at 9:25 AM ^
It’s the players. Easy to look like a good coach with 22 5* on field.
September 27th, 2019 at 9:15 PM ^
PSU has recovered from that Pitt setback and looks good. Maryland has totally regressed and looks awful.
Where will Michigan end up ? Could be either way. This point in time is the biggest coaching challenge in the Harbaugh era.
September 27th, 2019 at 9:19 PM ^
Why does Penn State look so much faster than us?
September 27th, 2019 at 9:24 PM ^
Consistency. Not much turn over from the coaching staff. Players understand what's being coached.
September 27th, 2019 at 9:38 PM ^
Jeesh, their young RB ran a 10.4 100 meters in high school.
September 27th, 2019 at 9:32 PM ^
Better recruiting for a spread offense. We need to play our speedy frosh slot bugs.
