Is it game time yet ?
December 1st, 2023 at 9:12 PM ^
Right now UW knows they can beat the Ducks. +9.5. Not sure how that went down.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:14 PM ^
Yeah, took Wash +10. Far from over though.

This game is instructional for us.
The CFP is a different critter. You win on offense. Nobody has "won on defense" in the CFP era. The best you can hope for is to just slow down the opposing offense, trade some touchdowns for field goals. You can not afford empty possessions. It's like men's tennis, you just hope to break serve once or twice to win.
The main reason we were so excited this year is because we finally have JJ, the kind of QB that wins CFP games by keeping drives alive and then cashing in. Cade was never going to be that kind of guy.
If we make the CFP, we will have to let JJ cook, and match score with score.

Cade: "That other team"
Fuck him
December 1st, 2023 at 9:19 PM ^
We said that last year I believe and we went out and did exact same game plan as usual..nothing different. Once we were getting killed then they opened up but was just to late by that point.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:25 PM ^
We needed to play the whole game the way we played in the second half. In the second half we matched every TCU score, but we were always coming from behind and chasing points.
We were arrogant, quite frankly. We thought that we could just run the ball down their throats in 15 play 10 minute drives. When we were forced to give up on that notion, we went out and did what we need to do and scored quickly. But it was too late.
Empty possessions are death.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:20 PM ^
Last year proves you right. UM TCU and UG aoSU were shootouts.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:21 PM ^
Turnovers are huge too. Good thing M has multiple ball hawks in the back 7.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:16 PM ^
Oh look. Injury time out; commercials. Field goal; commercials. Kickoff touchback, but no commercials!
December 1st, 2023 at 9:17 PM ^
Law of averages starting to kick in for the UW/OR game? Oregon seems to be getting their shit together.
Still...if you are a UW fan, you are elated. You always want the lead, and Oregon has slowed down UW on only one of their possessions so far.

Gatlin Bair just decommitted from BSU and is now focusing on Michigan and Oregon.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:17 PM ^
penix's i can't watch my FG kicker act should DQ him from heisman consideration. I think he did the same BS at Indiana.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:18 PM ^
Wash OL killing this Oregon DL
December 1st, 2023 at 9:18 PM ^
Watching Penix work is getting me bricked up
December 1st, 2023 at 9:18 PM ^
If you blitz you gotta get home. They didn't. Doom!
December 1st, 2023 at 9:24 PM ^
When teams blitz Pennix he just calmly slings it out to a wide-open guy, or else it gets picked up and he kills you deep. If you can’t get pressure with four against him you’re in trouble.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:18 PM ^
Oregon is toast.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:19 PM ^
Boom.
He can drop it anywhere on the field.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:19 PM ^
We wanted Washington?
December 1st, 2023 at 9:21 PM ^
its the playoffs, you're going to play good teams....
December 1st, 2023 at 9:19 PM ^
Ducks die with the blitz
December 1st, 2023 at 9:19 PM ^
Dayum. If Oregon doesn't wake up they're going to get annihilated.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:20 PM ^
How has this Oregon defense been shutting teams down all year? They look terrible.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:29 PM ^
Did they shut down any really good teams?
December 1st, 2023 at 9:31 PM ^
Honestly I think Oregon got A LOT of mileage out of thumping Colorado, back when Colorado was like 3-0.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:20 PM ^
Bernard transferred from the shit hole Michigan State along with Keon. LOL

December 1st, 2023 at 9:21 PM ^
I guess Washington is pissed about being 10 point dogs.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:21 PM ^
UW looking good. Do we still prefer to play UW vs Oregon in the playoff?
December 1st, 2023 at 9:22 PM ^
Rematches are so weird.
Oregon was better @ Washington but their coach went full Dan Campbell on every play and it cost Oregon the win. Their lines were better than Washintgon's
Fast forward to tonight and somehow Washington OL is peak Michigan :) makes all the difference. Penix with time is lethal. He was moved by Oregon a lot more @ HOME. Wacky!
December 1st, 2023 at 9:33 PM ^
Wacky indeed, 96
December 1st, 2023 at 9:30 PM ^
Exactly. I watched Washington beat Oregon earlier this year in a tight game. Why is everyone so high on Oregon, and why is Washington a +10 underdog?
Makes no sense to me...
December 1st, 2023 at 9:21 PM ^
I'm scared of Washington
December 1st, 2023 at 9:24 PM ^
December 1st, 2023 at 9:21 PM ^
No pass rush for the ducks. Penix so confident in the pocket.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:29 PM ^
Which is death.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:22 PM ^
At this rate I don't mind playing either team in the Rose Bowl.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:24 PM ^
Good point.
Oregon looks just flat-out awful, and all UW does is throw the ball.
Washington hasnt seen a pass-rush like Michigan's all season. UM will knock Penix out of the game.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:31 PM ^
UW throws the ball really well. Oregon is trying to knock Penix out of the game. It's not working.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:22 PM ^
I still have never seen a deep safety blitz work
December 1st, 2023 at 9:23 PM ^
Our defense spending the entire year prepping for OSU is going to translate well to Washington. Graham and KG filling up the middle. The ability to play -1 in the box. The ability to cover an NFL receiver.
And I think our offense does way better than Oregon's as well.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:25 PM ^
I agree. I love the UW matchup. Much more worried about Oregon.
That said, I expected an Oregon romp tonight so what do I know
December 1st, 2023 at 9:25 PM ^
Oregon cant run the ball. Rumor has it, Michigan can run the ball...for like the past 120 years Michigan has been able to effectively run the ball.
"Run the god damn ball!"

December 1st, 2023 at 9:28 PM ^
Michigan couldnt run the ball against TCU, thats why they lost.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:34 PM ^
Two pick sixes...-14
Two turnovers on the goal line....-14
Lost by 6.....
December 2nd, 2023 at 12:14 AM ^
If we could've run the ball we wouldnt have been down 21-6 at half
December 1st, 2023 at 9:39 PM ^
We lost because we ditched the defense that worked so well against osu, in all honesty. Cover 1 and 0 against a team that, all season, was incapable of sustaining drives, and could only score on explosive plays was coaching malpractice. The only knock against minter in his entire brilliant career.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:24 PM ^
I’m confident in Michigan, but DeBoer is a really good coach and those three WRs are terrifying. If it is Michigan and Washington in the Rose Bowl, Jesse Minter is going to have to earn his check.
December 1st, 2023 at 9:35 PM ^
IMO, Sherrone is the one that would have to earn his check.
You will have to beat Washington on offense. Match every score, keep the pressure on them. Then hope Minter can get a key stop or two. There would be no "Penn State" game.

This surface in UW OU is practically astroturf. Very thin and fast surface.
