52 second video of Joel Klatt saying: "He will get more out of a team than anybody else in America"  and "Michigan is a top 10 program -- perennially -- with Jim Harbaugh as the coach."

I was JUST talking about this last night. I don't think there is any doubt about it, Harbaugh is the best developer of talent in the NCAA. Just look at the job Harbaugh did with the Brady Hoke coached guys, he took a bunch of players who probably never would've sniffed the draft and turned them into studs. He took a group of guys from a team that went 5-7 and turned them into 10-3 in just one season. I couldn't believe what Harbaugh did for Speight in such a short time. Speight looked completely lost under Hoke. Now Speight is one or two steps away from being a really good QB. With Speight injured Harbaugh still managed to almost go undefeated. I am so excited about the 2016 & 2017 class bc by the time Jim and staff are done with them I am quite sure we're going to break some NFL draft records. I'm also sure that we will compete for multiple national titles. Once the OL is where it needs to be, this team will be unstoppable.

You must not follow practice, spring ball, or fall camp. Speight was featured on hard knocks during Harbaugh's first season, and Wilton credits that moment to turning his attitude around. Speight had been vocal about his game as a true freshman, he stayed that he was just going through the motions and thought about transferring. Speight would've never seen the field if Hoke were still coaching. How far Wilton came from his RS freshman year to now is night and day. You'd know that if you actually paid attention to the team. Harbaugh also worked wonders with Rudock, and you should continue to expect these types of developmental results at the QB position.

Our QB play. You can't. I'm saying that Harbaugh has yet to develop a QB to a high level. Chris Petersen at Washington had Jake Browning playing at an All-American level as a true sophomore, and that was surrounded by mostly 3 star talent. This will be Speight's third year under Harbaugh and 4th in the program...why isn't he there yet? He was decent last year, but nothing special..nothing that is going to win us championships.

Once he gets the OL to where it needs to be, there will be next to nothing that us fans need to be concerned about anymore.

If the OL was even just a notch or two better than where it was last year, we end the season 12-0. Do we win a national title? I doubt it, but we make the playoffs.

The defense couldn't possibly be in better hands, Harbaugh is probably the best QB coach on the planet, and we have the best WR class coming in that we've ever had. Once the OL gets up to speed, the rest takes care of itself.

Ya if we get good QB play, which we did not in all three losses. I like Speight, but he needs to step up his play and especially against top competition. Our receivers will shine but you need someone to get them the ball accurately and on time. We should lean on the running game more this year but if Speight can deliver this team could be really good.

Michigan started three 5th year seniors on the OL last year, none of whom were drafted.  Michigan lost three games by five points combined last season, mostly because they couldn't run the ball against top tier defenses.  If those three OL were worth even 5th or 6th round picks, Michigan goes undefeated and is in the playoffs.  I highly doubt Michigan would have won it all, but they would have been there.  Once the OL is set, which should be this year or next, this team will be on a par with Alabama, Clemson, etc.  The CFP would be a reasonable goal every year at that point.

If we lose to a completely loaded Ohio State team that's bringing back a ton of talent and is currently in year 6 of the Urban Meyer era it absolutely, 100% does not take away any luster from Harbaugh.

The complaining from this fan base is ridiculous. We had no defense at all under Rodriguez. We had an offense so inept under Coach Hot Dog Water that it bottled up Denard and Devin.

In 2 years, with rosters full of guys he probably wouldn't have taken, Harbaugh has laid one coaching egg (Iowa) and we've been manhandled once (OSU 2015). Saturdays have been fun again and we've been in the national conversation into late November each year.

Everything Harbaugh has done thus far has been with house money and the results have been pretty damn good. If we lose in Columbus next year, complaining is allowed.

I'd agree with this. He had Kaepernick looking like an all star when he was coaching SF. It all fell apart for Kap when Harbaugh left. Also, he took the same team Hoke had an improved it tremendously. I'm aware Hoke did the same with RR's players, but he saw a big dropoff in his 2nd year whereas Harbaugh didn't.

He has yet to win a single game here that he wasn't supposed to, and he's lost just about every game that mattered. He's done well at home, and against weak teams...so what? He hasn't pulled an upset or won a remotely difficult road game yet.
