Football season ticket sales at a low in the Harbaugh era
About 84k season tickets sold this year which is the low during the Harbaugh era down from about 92k in 2019.
Along with the defensive line the actual attendance this year will remain a mystery until game time. I would think that many of those 84,000 will be very selective in their attendance and some may sit out the whole year but wish to hold onto long held season tickets.
To me the actual attendance in recent years also is a bit mysterious. The nature of the bowl allows about 85000 to spread out and not look much different than a 100,000 crowd.
As for me and my house? We will be there! Go Blue!!

Gave up my tix at the end of 2019 before COVID. 1) I record the games and start about an hour after kickoff, skipping commercials and halftime saves a ton of time and yields better flow in play. 2) I can stop get something to eat/go to the bathroom with no hassle. 3) As discussed on this blog, the open professionalisation (probably not a word, but you get it) of the game and the Clemson/Alabama lather/rinse/repeat playoffs has taken a lot of luster off the college game for me. (I am torn on NIL, the players should get a piece of the pie, but I hate big pocketed teams hoarding a hugely disproportionate amount of top talent.

I do the same with DVR and giving it a good hour plus so I can zip through commercials and half time. I really hate commercials and if you watch any football you see the same ones seemingly on an endless loop.

You got that right. Being a Michigan and CFB fan sure feels a lot more like I'm in a transactional relationship now than it used to.

The numbers from July are higher than those reported by mLive on September 3rd. Seems strange.
