Dude, this is Michigan (both The University of and the state). Hockey is absolutely right up there with Football and Basketball. Think of them as the Holy Trinity of Michigan athletics.

I would like to witness MSU's response to this. Apparently, it's not a 'real' sport--after we just beat the living hell out of them two straight times en route to the CCHA Title. College hockey is a major sport, it's revenue-generating, don't let the networks tell you otherwise. In my view, it's as important at Michigan as football. Remember: "Yost likes hockey more than you like football."
