Game started at 6 pm on a regular workday, guaranteeing that nobody who had to travel at all could make it. Plus, the State Fair is going on right now and the Vikings are playing a preseason game at the same time across town (which is getting more local attention than the Gophers, absurdly).

It's a rough combination.

If I had the time in the cash, I'd be down there. But I don't and I'm not.

Minnesota really moving the ball using the fake pass - handoff to running back.  I wonder how much they'll use it in Big Ten play.

Not great - CMU couldn't get it in in 3 tries from near the goal line.  The third down was a pass from Morris that bounced off the receiver's helmet.  Kicked a chip-shot field goal to take a 3-0 lead over Rhode Island at home in the 2nd Q.

Rhode Island almost had return for TD on the ensuing kickoff.  Kicker stopped him around midfield with a sliding tackle at the edge of the field.

Buffalo with a great flea flicker, just not thrown in stride. Would have been a TD. WR still could have caught it.

No one in the Minny/Buff game wants to call PI.  That's three already that would be called in a lot of games, even though two of them could have gone either way.

That one on third down was obvious, though.

Actually, potentially, a good lineup here for the coach's film room. Helfrich, the Hatter, Gene Chizik, and Mack Brown. Could get some insight here.

Or we could get meaningless platitudes. But let's see. I'm impressed with the guys in the room.
