Seriously, the guy speaks purely in motivational cliches. It's his entire freaking vocabulary. He's that guy from your high school sports team that punched beyond his weight, and made sure you knew it. And he's never gotten over it.

Game started at 6 pm on a regular workday, guaranteeing that nobody who had to travel at all could make it. Plus, the State Fair is going on right now and the Vikings are playing a preseason game at the same time across town (which is getting more local attention than the Gophers, absurdly).
It's a rough combination.
If I had the time in the cash, I'd be down there. But I don't and I'm not.

First time Corso has seen them live since he coached?
Very cool.

Minnesota really moving the ball using the fake pass - handoff to running back. I wonder how much they'll use it in Big Ten play.

Feeling like Corso is going to come out in that red Indiana tracksuit. Then pick the Buckeyes.

How is Shane doing?

Not great - CMU couldn't get it in in 3 tries from near the goal line. The third down was a pass from Morris that bounced off the receiver's helmet. Kicked a chip-shot field goal to take a 3-0 lead over Rhode Island at home in the 2nd Q.

Rhode Island almost had return for TD on the ensuing kickoff. Kicker stopped him around midfield with a sliding tackle at the edge of the field.

CMU pick. First play of RI drive after good return.

Buffalo with a great flea flicker, just not thrown in stride. Would have been a TD. WR still could have caught it.

Double reverse flea flicker, receiver way open, underthrown, dropped.
Poor Buffalo

No one in the Minny/Buff game wants to call PI. That's three already that would be called in a lot of games, even though two of them could have gone either way.
That one on third down was obvious, though.

Shane Morris just HURDLED a defender for a good run!

That TD pass looked better than any time he was here. I know the competition isn't as good but it has to make him feel good.

Dude is SCREAMING!
August 31st, 2017 at 8:02 PM ^
hurdled a player on a 3rd and 13 to get the first. Finished the drive with a perfect TD pass.

Jim Cornelison realized about 2/3 of the way in that he needed to slow the anthem down for the flyover. Whoops.
August 31st, 2017 at 8:04 PM ^
That guy holding the camera was on a knee during the Anthem. Prepare for an ESPN story about ESPN disrespecting the flag.

Actually, potentially, a good lineup here for the coach's film room. Helfrich, the Hatter, Gene Chizik, and Mack Brown. Could get some insight here.
Or we could get meaningless platitudes. But let's see. I'm impressed with the guys in the room.

Mack Brown basically doing the hosting here. Not terrible at it, good questions so far.

Ohio State's going to roll this thing like 42-14, and it's going to suck.
