Of course this sounds good to us because a Michigan hasn’t even sniffed being the 5th best team at the end of the season but there is no way this is good enough for OSU. This is why as a Michigan fan I am happy. That fan base is used to getting all the breaks and their fans are the absolute worst. I will have joy in every OSU loss no matter what the sport is. To add the cherry on top last nigh, OSU didn’t just get beat, they got embarrassed.  If Smith would have played the 2nd half Alabama would have put up 70 on them.

I absolutely agree that Ryan Day is a great coach. My point is you don’t need 4-5 stars to get a play called in from the sideline. You don’t need 4-5 stars to manage the clock. At the highest level a lot of it is about talent.

A meh Wisconsin team who had not practiced for two weeks came in and dismantled us. That isn’t a recruiting issue.

I can understand one or two being Pollyanna. I mean it’s the national title game and they only played seven so it’s got to be easy to Make too much of too little data. But all?

it was fun to watch. Even if in general the national championship games are about as exciting as a 90’s super bowl.

i'd only say that there are lot and lots of reasons (thousands) to make fun of 11 warriors.  picking their own team to win a game - particularly one in which your qb just shredded a great clemson team - isn't really one of them.  we're not talking about objective journalism, there or here.

Here’s the thing - Ohio State saves up one elite, out-of-this-world performance every year.  It’s usually against us.  This year it was against Clemson.  It made a lot of people think they were better than they performed much of the season against a weak Big Ten.  Last night’s performance was more on par with how they played almost all season.
