Well, I figure we've got about an hour before things really get serious, so here we go.

Someone else can post tonight's schedule.

I'm not afraid to say it, but Spielman is my favorite analyst for college football now.

I have a soft spot for him from his Lions' days and he can break down a play like few others. Helps that he's not a complete homer (it'll come through once in a while, but he's pretty objective).

Florida and Texas seem to have the same issues as Michigan right now, which makes me feel a little better (not much).  Ultimately, most of it comes back to QB play.  Here's to hoping Gardner's aneurysm of leadership is the end of stupid, field position crushing turnovers and gives our defense room to keep us in games.  I know Gardner can make enough players to win us games, as long as he doesn't make as many to lose us games.

Does Northwestern EVER have a home field advantage?

I have FSU pulling away for a 2 TD victory.

Disagree on Texas.  Based on what Strong did at Louisville and has already done with Texas (excluding the BYU game) I think they will have an elite unit on 1 side of the ball very soon.   UM and UF dont have elite anything....not close.

I'm not so sure about Texas.  Charlie Strong should get things turned around in Texas.  Mack Brown was essentially their Lloyd Carr, albeit on a smaller level -- he adpated to talent (ie Vince Young).

Strong isn't their RichRod/Hoke -- he's great defensively and if he brings in the right coordinators, which he's shown he's capable of considering Teddy Bridgewater's tenure at Louisville, I think he'll be successful in a year or so.

FML.

All of our rivals that we compete with for recruits look better as the year goes on.  Their weaknesses due to youth and inexperience are in the mirror by mid October.

Maenwhile at Michigan . . . .

Rooting for ND because FSU is a blackhole when it comes to ethics... Just compare Georgia's response to Gurley (who has no prior questions on his character) against FSU's consistent bungled responses to Winston's bs.

Can't believe I am rooting for ND ... meanwhile NU^2 is turning into quite the matchup...

Yeah and ND has responded quite well by suspending the players of academic problems. Not to mention Gholston, their QB, was out for a whole year cuz of academic problems. THAT alone is a lot more than what FSU has done. Hell that is a lot more than 90% of schools when it comes to this shit.
