Why does that Notre Dame player have a bunch of leaves around his neck? It makes him look like he's on marijuana.

Hawaiian?

Well you don't see Johnny Manziel in a damn ten gallon hat. Maybe he should be wearing one of those skirts then too if he really wanted to "honor" his state or what have you.

Is this guy for real or is he just an elaborate shit-boomer troll?
December 8th, 2012 at 10:30 PM ^
elaborate shit-boomer troll is my guess. Something similar to wolverineinabag/rdt. Someone who obviously has way too much free time on his/her hands.

Could the Heisman Curse cause Notre Dame to lose to Alabama in the National Championship Game?

FU teo.
Woodson will always be the one and only on defense to ever win the heisman.

I respect the hell out of Manti T'eo. He's got some of the best linebacker instincts of anyone who plays that position right now, and I have a feeling that he will translate very well into the NFL. But I can't bring myself to endorse him for the award for two reasons: 1) I hate Notre Dame, and 2) For a defensive guy to win, I think he needs to find multiple ways to get the ball in his hands, a la Charles Woodson. T'eo is a playmaker, but he's not as versatile as Woodson was, and I think Woodson set the standard for any defensive player that had any hope to win the Heisman. T'eo is one of the best football players in college football right now, but I hope I live long enough to never see another defensive player win the Heisman other than Woodson.
Here's to you, Johnny Football.

I hate this song. I really hate it. And yet ESPN insists on playing it every commercial break. Rather listen to Pitbull at this point.

Hold on. Wisconsin wasn't supposed to be nearly as good this year as usual, particularly after John Gasser was lost for the season. Bo Ryan may still squeeze a tourney bid out of them, but they're not a standard-bearer for the league or anything.

I hope Lee Corso retires after this season. This is getting painful to watch.

Texas A&M has only one Heisman winner with John David Crow in 1957. Notre Dame has 7 Heisman winners. Kansas St has no Heisman trophy winner.
Klein would be a legend at Kansas St if he wins the vote without winning a national title or playing for one.

ESPN is bugging the hell out of me, while trying to hype this Heisman show, all of the sudden Woodson wasn't a priimarily defensive player they're trying to convince us, really?
Sir Charles played 90% on defense, he had some punt returns and played a few plays on offense, quit trying to make it sound like Te'o would be the 1st defensive player, FU espn assholes

Oh my, Desmond Howard... telling Te'o how "cute" his necklace is. Subtly asserting his Alpha male status over the young bucks.

Why does nobody point out the fact that Manziel is not really even a freshman? He is a sophmore in college who happens to have the eligibility of a freshman, totally different accomplishment if he wins vs. a true freshman winning IMO. Him winning this year is really not any different then Tebow winning as a true sophmore.
December 8th, 2012 at 8:34 PM ^
Maybe, but no one even knew he'd win the starting job. Truthfully, this is closer to a Denard scenario than Tebow... Tebow had snaps his frosh year, Manziel didn't IIRC. Tebow was designated starter. Sure, Manziel isn't a 17-18 y/o, but this was his first year..and in the SEC.
December 8th, 2012 at 8:40 PM ^
I'm not saying that Manziel hasn't been impressive. I'm just saying it is somewhat disingenuous and annoying that the media is hyping him as the first freshman ever to win without mentioning that he is actually a RS Freshman.
