Michigan set up MSU by having MSU arrive late.

Michigan set up MSU by having Dantonio choose to violate the pregame protocol.

Michigan set up MSU by having MSU players choose to not unlock their arms when a UofM player was in the way.

MSU is a helpless victim.

We have to be near the point where Dantonio is telling Engler to shut his goddamn mouth.

If this is even the slightest bit of a distraction for Dantonio, though, I have to laugh, since it's his own damn fault.

FFS..... There is no setup possible.

Whatever transpired before, Dantini was right there with his players and had the option of not provoking a confrontation. A few syllables from him telling them to go around or ignore the Michigan players avoids the entire situation. He specifically chose to press that situation at that moment and that's what he got fined for.

Engler should get fined for bringing this up again. At the very least they should reprimand them again, the same way they did Harbaugh.

Just for the record, the same guy who thinks MSU was set-up is also the game guy who:

a) implied that one Nassar survivor was getting kickbacks,

b) who tried to bribe another with a $250k check and then tried to shush her during a public meeting

c) strongarmed the MSU alumni magazine out of its special issue reckoning about the Nassar scandal

d) has a harder time seeing his flaccid dick than MSU's offense had seeing the opponent's 40 yard line last week

And this is just his latest in a track record of behavior just like that.

MSU knew exactly what they were getting when they brought him on board, in a sense he is only doing his job.

That the university as a whole, administration, alumni, students, isn't deeply ashamed of any association with him is so telling.

Anyone that ever voted for him should really go back and look at what they were thinking at the time. None of this is new.

Conspiracy theories, "people are saying", complete abdication of responsibility, decency, and shame.

He's a Republican. Thats what they do in the Trump era. It would only be shocking if he didn't say something like this.

Are people really so stupid to think that there are two parties?  There has been a uniparty bending you over for a long time.  The long term goal is the destruction of the USA through socialism and erosion of constitutional rights.  They enact policy through false flags.  Problem, reaction, solution - Hegelian dialect.  I am usually Democrats but I'll give Trump credit that he has stuck up for Americans more than any politician since Kennedy - hence all the hate from fake Republicans and fake Democrats and the fake right/left media.

Trump's sole motivating interest is what's best for Trump. Respectfully, to claim he sticks up for "more Americans than any politican since Kennedy" is absurd.

But his shtick works because many people are wired to feel aggrieved and afraid all the time, and people who could conceivably hold him to account are too chickenshit to do so.

As someone who voted Democrat my whole life until recently, there is a lot of truth here but the masses are unable to take the red pill. The Dem/Rep paradigm is an illusion, it’s actually a globalist/sovereign nation equation.

Hell, I am um... not Republican - and it cannot go unsaid that the two most toxic shitholes on the MSU BoTrustees- Ferguson and Perles - are also Democrats who need to be broomed out of there yesterday.

Side note - the BoTrustees were dithering between Engler and Blanchard for interim president and mostly picked Engler because as a Republican he might have a better relationship with Michigan's mostly Republican-controlled legislature.  Which.,... whoops.  While I doubt Blanchard wouldn't done much better, it's hard to imagine him being actively worse.  While I certainly have severe disagreements with Engler's political inclinations, make no mistake: my and everyone else's outrage towards his tenure as president is because of a gross, provincially-minded, and frankly immoral assholism that straddles party/political lines.

Engler is a piece of shit, but the MSU media has been terrible about acting aggrieved about it all in a way they haven't been about really anything else for years.  MSU deserves him as their head, and I sorta hope they keep him so they can keep dealing with his stupidity for years.

I hope MSU admin and coaches keep bitching about it...UM will pretty much always have to talent edge and MSU has banked on the motivational edge...but all of this bad blood is poking the bear and we saw this year what a highly motivated and talented UM team does to Sparty. Harbaugh isn't going to let this one slide...expect a different kind of handshake next year.

Not necessarily a popular opinion but I've been of the opinion that both sides on the field handled the pre-game shenanigans poorly.  Both sides could have stepped up and been better and probably avoided the whole incident.  They didn't and both sides look bad.  What people and by people I mean Sparty fans and Engler are forgetting is the real $10,000 question.  I think the fine was imposed primarily because Sparty's Head Coach was on the field and if not encouraging his players he he certainly seemed indifferent.   The fine happened because he's a dick and they don't get that.  I hope that had Harbaugh been out there, he would have called his players to the sideline for a minute, let Sparty prance by and told his players that they were going to crush that chorus line in a couple of hours.

I agree that both sides could have shown restraint (Devin Bush kicking the logo wasn't necessary, but was a genuine emotional response to the assault and he owned up to it).  Regardless, the UM players had the right to be on that part of the field at that time and MSU did not - which are grounds enough to the fine even with Mark being on the field at the same time and doing nothing to prevent the incident.

So predictable.

Do us all a favor and leave the Big Ten. I could not care less if we never played MSU again. Your program is trash and it all starts with the behavior of your “leaders” from the top.

The M-MSU rivalry is not healthy anymore. I wish we could just not play them anymore. But I’ll settle with kicking their butts every year if this is how they want to behave.

Bullshit.  Sparty pregame walk today was on time, in street clothes, without helmets. Dantonio planned that whole episode last week.  Bush should’ve ripped up the entire midfield logo.

Michigan State was “set up” when that wanker was named as interim president.  And it is saying a lot when PSU’s “little brother” can be the object of sympathy.

I have seen that corpulent bastard in person and he gives gluttony a bad name.

Everything about MSU is currently vile.

Really John, MSU was "set up" on your own home field?  With your own staff handling security and field prep?

I'm a Republican, so I'm saying this as a friend: you sound like an idiot and you should stop.  It was a petty mind-game stunt that backfired.  Focus on the culture of your own institution.  Let this one go.
