Elysee Mbem-Bosse disturbing tweets

Submitted by NashvilleBLUE on

[ED-Seth: Cleaned up this thread a bit. If it gets out of hand we'll lock it.]

Mbem-Bosse appeared to have lost his mind on Twitter last night and started posting some pretty crazy things that have now since been deleted. Does anyone know what they were referring to? I've only been able to find the following tweets but supposedly there were quite a few before this that were pointed directly at Michigan. Anyone know what's going on?

Edit: thanks to a poster below I was able to find them all. They are more disturbing than I thought. They are directed at Harbaugh and seem to be Threats of gun violence.

Being upset. The police need to pay him a visit and flush it out. You can’t mess around talking like that. This could absolutely be interpreted as a threat and should be. I’m not saying he needs to be arrested or anything like that, but police definitely need to be involved. God forbid if he decides to actually do something, we would all ask why he wasn’t at least paid a visit. You just can’t say stuff like that, even if you don’t mean it.

Bosse was suspended? Was that public knowledge?

From a poster who said to look up James Yoder:

and not that it is really the primary concern right now, but that is a concerning look for the program. How does a player become THAT unhinged with coaches or a team? That is alarming. I know a lot of it has to do with the individual kid, but, really?? How does it get to this point?

These are my exact feelings. Something about this whole situation feels "off" and im looking at the program with a raised eye brow.

You 2  are either trolls or an idiots. I hope for your sakes you are trolls because you would have to be pretty dumb to think some teenager goin off on twitter is a sign on a problem with the football program.

OK, let me get this straight: In a country where people - and predominantly young men, FYI - shoot each other dead in the street for looking at them the wrong way, or for the color of shirt they are wearing, or for any other tiny perceived slight, the fact that this kid has gone off the deep end in threatening his former coaches necessarily makes you think it's the coaches' fault? That seems to be a painfully stupid conclusion, IMO...

Oh shutup john.  I know you're a very sensitive guy but you really have to stop with the feelings posts.

is funny. In discussions regarding the football program, you can always tell who the people are that are the most worried based on how strenuously they object to any suggestion of concern about any topic. It will be alright man, it will be alright.

I am guessing that you are totally unaware of the irony of this position: you are a concern troll arguing that anyone objecting to concern trolling must really be concerned.

Duh!

do recall.  You said that every single one of my posts was "negative" or something like that.  I said that actually very few on my posts are negative, and that when they are, I am not "concern trolling" but simply stating an opinion that some (vocal) people disagree with.  That is fine, they don't have to think the same way I do, I am not requiring that they do.

In my opinion, if this were any other program in the country, and I saw a story above a player being so disgruntled with a coach or a program that he is tweeting what amount to death threats toward the coaching staff, I would absolutely wonder how the situation got to that point.

There are some posters that absolute mess themselves every time a poster has a take that suggests fallibility on the part of the football coaching staff.  That is not me.  Yes, when I read this a part of me did wonder if there were communication lapses somewhere along the way that lead to a bad situation becomming much worse for everybody.  It is not some kind of far-fetched tin foil take, nor it is a "sky is falling" take.

Lol, you are now concern trolling about your concern trolling. “I am totally not a concern troll, but when I heard about this, I got super concerned about our football program and had to tell you guys how concerned I am.”

If he had measured criticisms, that'd be one thing. A guy that unhinged makes me think the problem is him. Not sure how you see tweets like that and think he's probably in the right.

he is not "in the right."  That is a clearly erroneous interpretation of my post.  A person threatening physical violence, in the absence of a clear threat to him, is in the wrong per se.  It is just very rare for a fued such as this between a player and the team to raise to this level of hostilty.  Go back and try to think of precedent for "college players threatens college football coach with threats of gun violence" and you are not going to come up with much.

with the way you're trying to connect dots here.  You don't have any of the actual data points except the tweets. You don't know what communication happened/didn't happen/how it happened and between who.  Lack of precedent for the situation is also not evidence for your conclusion.

I do hope police investigate, there is a level of threat that should not be taken lightly, specific lanugage and describing a firearm, would be it.

threatened coaches?  I can guarantee it happens from time to time across the country - you are talking about 10,000s of kids.  Some kids are going to have emotional and/or mental breakdowns, they are usually not stupid delusional enough to post threats on social media.

Also, different players handle tough situations differently, tragically, a lot of them commit suicide rather than lash out at others.  Even in this case, I would be worried that this kid is going to hurt himself.

If you had 10 players threatening the staff, then you might have a point.  This is a mental health tragedy for a kid that needs serious help.  Not a reflection on anything else.

Watching Mindhunter on Netflix can give insights.. its how they process their emotion that is to blame. Obviously he is taking authority the wrong way and not being able to emotionally deal with it.
