Enough with the PTSD with Sparty.

Our margin of victory in Big Ten play is roughly 37 points.

We just covered a 30+ spread against Indiana.

Michigan State is probably worse than every other Big Ten team we've played. I guess they were controlling the game against Rutgers, until they weren't.

The number is probably going to go up this week. So if you want to bet on Michigan, do it now.

Another sports book opened at Michigan -23. That seems like too many points given a night game at MSU. This is their SuperBowl/Bowl game.

Michigan wins but not sure if they cover -23

I will gladly take a 1 point victory with NO injuries. Sparty is gonna go for every cheap shot they can.

Im putting the over/under on MSU personal fouls at 3.5.

Feels high. It’s a rivalry game on the road against a team with nothing to lose and knows it’s now entirely a one game season. I expect to get the kitchen sink.

Hard to see MSU winning minus a ton of Michigan mistakes, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Michigan didn’t cover.

I don't see the line as easily predicted with this one, other than feeling (reasonably) confident of a win. Best scenario, in my book, is we beat the freaking tar out of them for three quarters and then play the third and fourth string. In such a scenario, as we've already seen, Michigan might not maximize points on the scoreboard, or give a damn about the betting, but do more important stuff like give guys PT and protect player's health, limit exhaustion for the home stretch.

State will not be worth worries about the final score, I don't think. Just win and get hell out of that cesspit. I'd be happy if we never played them again. Too much bad blood, so foul you can smell them 64 miles away. Those noodles can't even hire a president, and are in the grip of a troglodyte board that continues to drag the poor students and faculty through hell several years, now, after Nassar. It would be fun, some year, to be so far out in front of the pack that we could just forfeit that game, refuse to play it and still win the conference.

I am mostly concerned about cheap shots and extracurricular activities by the Spartans.   I don't think MSU has the skill/heart to score in the 4th quarter if the game isn't on the line and I don't think it will be on the line.   Michigan covers.

I would normally think the spread is a little high for a state game, but I think we cover comfortably this year—like 52-6. The tunnel incident last year as motivation and the relative disparity in the two programs this year lead me to believe they’re in for an epic beatdown.

You have to remember this isnt a Mork coached team from the 2010s playing an average Michigan team.  Their coach screwed them over and whatever talent they had transferred out last spring.

They'll hang in the game for so long until they crack in the 2nd quarter.

That seems high.  MSU has made a lot of back breaking mistakes, but their defensive line could cause some problems for Michigan and they've shored up that unit as a whole.  JJ will have to continue to be efficient and avoid mistakes.

Less worried about the MSU offense, I don't think Houser is the guy that can really take advantage of Michigan's second DB but they'll manufacture a TD or two from some tricky shit.  I think this game will be similar to last year.
