DT Keyshon Camp decommits from USC

Submitted by wresler120 on

Defensive Tackle Keyshon Camp has decommitted from USC. Michigan was the presumed leader for Camp late last year, with 50% of the crystal balls in Michigan's favor. However, this decommittment comes on the heals of an Ohio offer to Camp. This could get interesting, as Camp stated he will announce on NSD, which according to "insider information" could favor Michigan.

I have posted this before, but still have never gotten a good answer from their fans:

The one thing I still don't understand about the fans of "The Ohio State University" is their level of anger and animosity when Brady kept calling them Ohio!

1) But when they score a touchdown, their cheerleaders bring out exactly 4 flags on the field that spell:

2) Their fans spell:

3)  Their band spells out a script:

4)  Their stadium is called:

5) Their fight song says…”Fight the team across the field, Show them Ohio's here….”

So if they want to be called Ohio State, can't they just spell the extra 5 freakin' letters!

that score on that trinket.  I could care less if Michigan fans take the Hoke road and call us "Ohio. "  All that matters is that score.  I remember that it used to be "O State," before Rodriguez came.  Then he didn't find it necessary to have a alternative name.  Whenever your team wins again--then those same people who use whatever alternative name will say, "We beat Ohio State!"  Just like we say, "We beat Michigan!"

It's because even they were smart enough to know when "Ohio" was being used to needle them by Hoke.  Even though calling them Ohio is not really a big deal.  They do it themselves.

I always though it was a master troll job by Hoke . . . he calls them something they call themselves and it infuriates them.  Yet they could never call him out on it because it's not like he made up a blatant insult.  It's not like he called them "Fuck Stains".

Technically, we are that team up north.  It's not incorrect to call us that.  But they do it to stick a finger in our eye.

OK then.  As insults go it's pretty lame, but it's not incorrect.  Except we don't waste time getting upset by it.

We should move on from Hoke, turn the page, call it quits. You can justify all you want, but you are still recalling Hoke by Calling OSU "Ohio". Let it go unless you can prove you would say "Ohio" if not for Hoke. My qualifier is that you can start using it again if we beat them 4 years straight

told him (after he explained his academics and tutors) that he will be expected to get his degree and he thought shit man I don't wanna play school. What was the name of that school that it's all about football and grades aren't that big of a deal?

They probably tell them if football doesn't work out for you the car you will be driving around Columbus is from the same dealership you can go to work for. What they don't tell them is they can get a payroll deduction to pay for it.

But I will take it one step further, "he's just trying to do what's best for him." 100% right. And he should only look after his own interests...but to me that just reinforces the appropriateness of how UM handled the Swenson offer. Both sides are free to change their minds before a signed LOI. That said, the NCAA should have an early signing period to let the parties lock it down early if they want. I would also add an opt-out for both school and student in the event of a head coaching change.

These high school players--and those of you starting these threads--are making it very hard for those of us who said we were going to stop following recruiting!!!

What if Harbaugh told Gary to tell USC he would commit if Camp wasn't in the class, so USC would dump Camp, and then Harbaugh secretly got Camp to come to Michigan. Mindblowing.
