Does Brian Kelly have CTE?
I don't mean to engage in baseless speculation, but I couldn't help but notice what a lifeless sack of potatoes he was while he watched his team's ass get kicked. He looked like wanted to go home about halfway through the second quarter. When is the last time he's been purple faced on the sideline? He hasn't yelled at anyone in ages. He's lost 11 straight on the road to top 20 teams.
I hope he doesn't have irreversible brain damage.

In the pouring rain getting run over, yeah I’d want to go home too. He did have very little fire which maybe means he saw this coming even though most of us didn’t?
October 27th, 2019 at 6:17 PM ^
A lot of us saw this coming. It was hard not to see coming.
October 27th, 2019 at 7:27 AM ^
I'm assuming you're a better poster normally than this.
October 27th, 2019 at 7:27 AM ^
Maybe OP has CTE.
October 27th, 2019 at 8:11 AM ^
Ya kinda need a functioning brain first...so I’m gonna guess no
October 27th, 2019 at 8:42 AM ^
CTE is highly contagious. Football players spread it to each other like wildfire.
October 27th, 2019 at 9:12 AM ^
My girlfriend said she got her CTE from sitting on a tractor.
October 27th, 2019 at 9:40 AM ^
And you call that the tractor story?
October 27th, 2019 at 10:51 AM ^
Never heard it called a tractor before. Does she go with field?
October 27th, 2019 at 7:46 AM ^
Normally. But points aren’t working. Consider this a towel throwing protest.
October 27th, 2019 at 10:13 AM ^

October 27th, 2019 at 12:13 PM ^
I'm assuming this is making fun of Brian claiming that Harbaugh had CTE after the Wisconsin game
October 27th, 2019 at 7:29 AM ^
Is purpleface a symptom?
October 27th, 2019 at 7:41 AM ^
Maybe purpleface is a disease and he is now on meds? I heard Kelly's folks are looking for an exit strategy.
October 27th, 2019 at 7:30 AM ^
It was a long ride home after the ass beating they took.
October 27th, 2019 at 8:27 AM ^
Look on the bright side: At least the offense won’t look sideways at the defense (or vice versa) because a great effort on one side of the ball was wasted. Unity—huzzah!!!
October 27th, 2019 at 7:32 AM ^
Your sarcasm would be funny, if CTE wasn't such a serious issue and something people were generally concerned about (albeit based on rumor and pure speculation) regarding Harbaugh, who played over a decade in the NFL, in an era when concussions and head trauma were barely monitored.
October 27th, 2019 at 7:38 AM ^
Yeah that's a pretty generous take. No one was mentioning him and cte when things were going well for the team. It was and still is a completely disingenuous take that's a critique of him as a coach hiding as concern. It was ridiculous to be brought up and speculated about and it and the people who pushed that bs narrative deserve this mockery.
October 27th, 2019 at 8:44 AM ^
The “people”? Just call out Brian by name if you want to complain about it.
October 27th, 2019 at 9:00 AM ^
Ok. Brian is a wiener and his speculation that Harbaugh has CTE was in very poor taste and a bullshit thing to do.
October 27th, 2019 at 8:02 PM ^
Agree. It would be nice to see him acknowledge that, but it's not his style at all.
October 27th, 2019 at 9:01 AM ^
Wasn't just him saw it from posters here and other various places online. All were irresponsible and yes that includes Brian.
October 27th, 2019 at 9:03 AM ^
Definitely not just Brian. However, he is by far the most prominent voice of michgian fandom - the desirability of which is another conversation.
October 27th, 2019 at 7:40 AM ^
"I don't mean to engage in baseless speculation, but here is some baseless speculation."
October 27th, 2019 at 7:48 AM ^
With all due respect, not to be a dick, I am sorry if anyone was offended.
October 27th, 2019 at 8:18 AM ^
No one was actually offended, its all performative nonsense which makes up about 50% of the posts here.
October 27th, 2019 at 8:18 AM ^
I really didn't like the post, but good for you for this one.
October 27th, 2019 at 7:48 AM ^
This post sets the the all-time record for stupid. Congrats!
October 27th, 2019 at 10:42 AM ^
This isn’t a great post, but I don’t think it’s even in the bottom quartile of posts on the board.
October 27th, 2019 at 8:05 AM ^
ITT: people not getting a joke
October 27th, 2019 at 8:14 AM ^
It’s an occupational hazard. I am okay with it.
October 27th, 2019 at 8:15 AM ^
I’m sensing this a shot at Brian for insinuating Harbaigh has brain issues after playing in the NFL in the Wisconsin podcast?
October 27th, 2019 at 8:24 AM ^
Brian et al.
October 27th, 2019 at 9:19 AM ^
It’s not just Brian, or even primarily Brian. I have heard a ton of people, both on this blog and elsewhere, seriously espouse this CTE theory. Has harbaugh seemed a bit flat or off for the past 12-18 months? Yes, but at the same time, he is just a quirky, somewhat weird, dude. Of all of the possible theories floated around - CTE, change in his meds, fatigue, change in focus after his newest child - the CTE theory seemed the most silly to me.
October 27th, 2019 at 10:01 AM ^
It seemed silly because it was. Think about what he was saying — because he disagreed with some decisions about football, the coach likely has brain damage.
October 27th, 2019 at 10:16 AM ^
Are Brian and Ace still blocking everyone on twitter who questions them?
October 27th, 2019 at 8:24 AM ^
Some of you folks are absolutely devoid of humor. Nice piece of topical humor, OP. The rest of you need to slather some topical ointment on your perpetually chapped asses.
October 27th, 2019 at 8:37 AM ^
Nah, there is nothing humourous about it... It's this stupid narrative that when UM wind against a good team, there was something deficient about the opponent.
October 27th, 2019 at 8:42 AM ^
The ones I wonder about are people like Catchafire. Do they not read the other comments that clue them in or do they read them and just ignore the facts? Well I guess Catchafire's post above answers that question.
October 27th, 2019 at 8:35 AM ^
BK is a good coach. Stop trying to belittle a good win by saying he has cte... It's disrespectful to what the team did last night against a top 10 ND program.
October 27th, 2019 at 8:46 AM ^
Harbaugh gave him his meds
October 27th, 2019 at 8:57 AM ^
I believe he was stunned and had no idea what to do. I got a Michigan-OSU vibe but in reverse. ND had plan A on defense and offense but nothing else. Michigan jumped on them on both sides of the ball and ND had no answers.
October 27th, 2019 at 10:11 AM ^
I made a thread whose intent was to take a shot at people who said Harbaugh’s body language has been bad and he has lost his edge and I took a lot of negs. I ain’t touching this one.
October 27th, 2019 at 10:11 AM ^
Isn't CTE a Cadillac model?
October 27th, 2019 at 1:33 PM ^
Thanks for posting this. Good critique on Brian. Man I love the blog and podcasts, but his comments on Harbaugh's mental health didn't come off as a joke. It was straight up speculation based on Harbaugh being "disorganized". For a blog that has raised a lot of money for mental health... Wtf. Shows how passionate we all are about this.
Go Blue!
October 27th, 2019 at 2:21 PM ^
There are actually folks on various ND forums who comment about how lifeless and timid Kelly looked last night. There's also folks on RCMB who think Dantonio has dementia. It seems to be the new thing.
October 27th, 2019 at 2:31 PM ^
He’s probably on Zoloft too
October 27th, 2019 at 3:01 PM ^
This is a parody of our take on Harbaugh's lifeless existence through week 7.
October 27th, 2019 at 10:07 PM ^
Idk but he does look like an angry lesbian
