Devin Gardner is my quarterback.

I have strong opinions about The Everything.  This thread isn't for that.

This thread is for Devin Gardner.

Because before we knew him, he was giving it his all.

He fought and clawed from the moment he arrived.

He was told to wait.  So he waited.

He was told to change.  So he changed.

So when he was called upon to be a leader...

He delivered with the best.

He always strove to be a victor...

Even when it broke him...

...and he had nothing left to give.

He always took time to help others...

...even when no one would help him.

If he's not your quarterback already - if you strayed, if you faltered, if you waivered, if you doubted - you can still change.  There is still time.  He needs us to support him now.

Devin Gardner is my quarterback.

I hope that he is yours too.

they stop trying to make him into a pocket passer. It is like trying to stick a square into a round hole. The only shot they have to get the offense going is to let him be himself and run the ball (planned and unplanned) and to get him into a rhythm with the horizontal passing game (quick/short routes).

I think the moment the pocket begins to collapse and or his receivers aren't open he should just take off. He is going to get beat up regardless of what they want him to do...might as well let him be productive. Not being vanilla and predictable would also help the offense.

For those who thought our QB might have been "pouting" last week, that is not true based on sideline reports that Devin stayed engaged, was listening on his headset, offered encouragement to Shane, pretty much the opposite of pouting.
