Yeah but then Delaney put Refs who were Ohio State fans on the officiating crew. We got flat out cheated in the 2016 game. Due to the subpar OLine and QB play, we have yet to see a fully armed and operational Harbaugh battle station.

And I'm still pissed off about that game. It will forever be remembered as the Screw Job in Columbus in my mind. That said we should never have thrown the ball out of our end zone giving them 14 points. OSUscored 3 unassisted points in 60 minutes and we still lost. Shit!!

position on the field. That was the difference in the game. UM’s struggles the first three seasons under Harbaugh can be traced directly to OL and QB play. QB in particular has been an issue. Harbaugh has had a grad transfer, a transfer, a Hoke holdover, and a freshman as starters. Not exactly ideal starting position for success. Meanwhile JT Barrett was OSU’s starter for four seasons.

Perkis-Size, don't try and talk football when you've never understand shit you clown. Let's ask ourselves the facts all over again why that game was lost. I swear it doesn't matter how many times you tell morons like yourself the facts, it still never sinks in. Unbelievable. Yeah the offense sputtered, turnovers and qb/runningbacks didn't do much to help. Not to mention the wide-receivers and tight-ends that disappeared but you have to look at the bigger picture. They were getting mauled all game and nothing was being done about it. The offensive lineman didn't know which way to turn because every little advantage they would've gained, would've been penalized. Man, you're fucking stupid.

RS freshman and Sophomores. There were like 5 first round draft picks on that team last year who were very well coached. Not too mention all of the talent that was on this years team who are all high probable draft picks. Then you finally throw in the same JT Barrett that has destroyed every team he's faced except Clemson in the past 4 years pretty much in any game that truly mattered. Just shut the fuck up once and see it for what it was. It was a highly talented bucnut team that had an insane crowd and referees on their side in their own stadium. Michigan was never going to win that game in any universe.

Meyer will have no trouble replacing them.  He lost three first round picks just from his defensive backfield, and didn't miss a beat.  \

If people are waiting for a soft OSU team that we will be favored against, forget it.  2 losses is Meyer's floor there.

OSU had 12 drafted in 2016, the most of any power team since 1984, they did not seem to fall back.  There is the possibility of 13 going this year.  Hate to say it, but I don't think it hurts them too much.  Only helps Meyers recruiting.

It never matters who goes pro there.

They are Alabama in a cold weather rust belt state.

It's quite impressive really that Meyer was able to do that.  I never thought it would be possible.

How could midwest Big Ten Ohio State be higher up the food chain than USC or Texas or LSU or Florida or FLorida State or . . . ?

And when you look at their roster, they are not doing it with mostly Ohio talent like Tressel did.  They are getting 5-star guys from around the country.

It's pretty amazing.

If I'm a 5-star kid from the Southeast or the Southwest, why would I want to go to Ohio State over all of my other options that are closer, warmer, have even lower academic standards, cheat better, have strong NFL pipelines, and have hotter women and nicer campuses?

But OSU is getting those guys.

when it comes to football. Players and coaches grow there like citrus in Sicily. Meyer recruits the core of his team from Ohio and then adds elite talent from elsewhere. Meyer is also a vastly superior coach any coach at those schools. It isn’t hard to see why OSU is good. Also Rust Bell is a term used by people who seemingly have no eyes. Most of the Midwest is rural and quite beautiful. The Midwest is not one gigantic Detroit or Cleveland. Also the Midwest has plenty of attractive women. Hotness for dudes like yourself typically means blond and tanned drunks who can be bedded with relative ease.

I'm not so sure Ohio has the rich recruiting talent they used to. I look at the class of 2018 and there are only 2 5-stars and 10 4-star players from Ohio. That seems low historically for OH. Of course, if OSU locks up most of those players that would be an outstanding class. If you look at 2019, it doesn't really get much better as there is currently only 1 5-star and 11 4-stars from OH. 2016 also had 12 4-stars or better while 2017 had a few more at 17.

Michigan, by comparison, has 7 4-stars in 2018 (no 5-stars). Right now the class of 2019 for MI has 1 5-star and 8 4-stars.

Georgia on the other hand is pretty sick with 41 4-stars or better in both 2018 and 2019. That is on par with FL, TX and CA. Could it be fair to say the OH HS football is currently closer to MI than GA? This could be what is driving OSU to recruit more nationally.

Ohio is one of the most talent rich states in the country. It’s maybe a half step below Florida, Texas, and California in terms of the talent it produces.

OSU is also in a very unique position where it has ZERO instate competition. Absolutely zero. Cincinnati, Toledo, Bowling Green, Ohio, none of them will ever compete for the instate recruits that OSU is in contention for. Kids in Ohio dream of growing up and playing only for OSU, so they get their pick of the litter.

Plenty of UM’s best have come from Ohio, and will continue to do so. Taco Butt, Des, Tom Clancy’s Jake Ryan, Chris Wormley. Toledo and Cleveland kids are fair game. Plenty of kids like Furbush from NW Ohio love UM. I know, as I was born there. I had a cousin who would’ve loved to play for UM. Kid from my HS played baseball for UM.

Columbus is actually a nice city. people don't realize it if you aren't from there. I lived there for 20 years. these kids also realize they are only going to be there for 3, maybe 4 years. osu offers plenty for 18 year old athletes to occupy their time. And yes, there are plenty of good looking females there.
