Dave Brandon watches film w/coordinators WITHOUT Hoke

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Saw this roll across my feed. These guys have 59,000 followers and are followed by some prominent people like Angelique, Bogenschutz and Bob Stitt(!).

The strangest thing I’ve heard about Dave Brandon is that he watches film on Sundays with the coordinators individually (without Hoke).

If now isn't the most necessary time to play this, I don't know when is.

Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor.

If this is true it explains a LOT of things wrong with our football team.  Brandon in essence is cutting across Hoke and could be....prolly IS.....giving instruction and "advice" to these guys indpependent of Hoke.  Which Hoke, being his subordinate, would be unable to change.

Jesus S tap dancing christ.  This is the single WORST most damning most infuriation thing I've heard yet (if true) and definitely could explain a lot of the disfunction and general clusterfuckness we see on Saturday.

I honestly cant say if I hope this to be true or not.  If it is, I now feel real, real bad for Brady and want Brandon out even more than I did five minutes ago.

Hoke: So I was sitting in my office today, and I realized, ever since I started coaching U of M this year, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.

Bradon: What about today? Is today the worst day of your life?

Hoke: Yeah

Brandon: Wow, that's messed up.

I deal with the goddamn clapping for the players so the other coaches don't have to. I have cheerleading skills; I am good at cheering for people and making them feel good about themselves. Can't you understand that? What the hell is wrong with you people?

there's no way Brandon can be the AD when the next coach is hired because no self respecting coach is going to be on board with the AD sitting in on film sessions.  Bacon even commented on how the coaches at PSU, NU and OSU asked him about these rumors while he was writing his book.  It's a frickin' joke.

Maybe they're all just really big John Wayne fans...

In seriousness, that's so insane that I entirely believe it. Also, any self-respecting HC should have told him to GTFO.

What a self-important prick.  I'm sure the coordinators love to have him there.  "Wow, what a great boss," they probably think to themselves.  "He's got countless other sports to be concerned about, not to mention all the other administrative stuff, but he still finds time to help micromanage tasks that he knows nothing about."
