Dantonio Being Questioned by Blackwell’s Attorneys Today
Sorry, we get a link to Graham Couch but after a quick search of the Detroit News I didn’t see an article addressing this.
January 10th, 2020 at 12:37 PM ^
And he looks so happy to be there.
January 10th, 2020 at 12:44 PM ^
I bet that's his O face.
January 10th, 2020 at 7:53 PM ^
Nah, MSU has no idea what O is.
January 10th, 2020 at 3:57 PM ^
That is perfect, well done sir!
January 10th, 2020 at 12:39 PM ^
"Next question."
January 11th, 2020 at 3:18 PM ^
Put a red lock on that door.
January 10th, 2020 at 12:39 PM ^
would love to read that transcript some day. i bet it is full of "i don't remember's", and 'sparty noooos!!
January 10th, 2020 at 12:46 PM ^
or him asking for his supervisor
January 10th, 2020 at 1:06 PM ^
Lawyer: Good Morning Mark
Mark: Morning
Lawyer: Mark, have you ever been in a Turkish Prison?
January 10th, 2020 at 2:49 PM ^
mark?
January 10th, 2020 at 5:45 PM ^
Mr DiGiorno is the only way a lawyer would address him. The legal system is very formal.
January 10th, 2020 at 6:22 PM ^
“You can call me coach”. “I’ve earned it”
January 10th, 2020 at 12:43 PM ^
Has he passed his bonus date? There was a day in January that Michigan state would owe him several million dollars if he was still employed by the University
January 10th, 2020 at 12:46 PM ^
After reporting this, Couch was burned in East Lansing...
January 10th, 2020 at 1:37 PM ^
Don't think it's passed. Thought I read some where that it is January 14th
January 10th, 2020 at 7:51 PM ^
So do you think he takes the money and steps down after the 14th and if so how do Spartans see his time at State
January 10th, 2020 at 12:47 PM ^
Everyone should be questioning Dantonio nowadays...
January 10th, 2020 at 12:49 PM ^
It will never be over!
January 10th, 2020 at 12:49 PM ^
Pride before the fall
January 10th, 2020 at 1:28 PM ^
Where's the threat???
January 10th, 2020 at 12:55 PM ^
That's BS.
January 10th, 2020 at 12:57 PM ^
It won't matter unless Blackwell can get someone else on that staff (or rather from that staff at the time) to back him up. They can try to cross Dantonio up and get something today, but MSU will have prepped him. It's going to be he-said / he-said, with the burden being on Blackwell's team to break that stalemate with other evidence.
January 10th, 2020 at 1:06 PM ^
Anyone else think this is the true reason why Dantonio isn’t firing anyone on the staff?
Fear of them turning on him and corroborating Blackwells story.
January 10th, 2020 at 1:12 PM ^
It honestly would make sense.
And frankly, nothing else does. The only other conclusion is that he wants to remain head coach and wants them to remain awful, which does not seem to be a likely alternative scenario.
January 10th, 2020 at 2:00 PM ^
Didn't even think of that, would be next level fucked up.
Has no one left that staff since the seasons in question? Even administrative staff? He'd just need anyone to corroborate that the rapist kid was a dirtball that no one else wanted, and Dantonio knew he posed a danger. Check university payments to any admin staff that left for "consulting" work. Though that's getting far into speculative territory.
Remember there's always going to be a predisposition to keep your mouth shut if you were from the staff at that time. Dantonio has friends in the coaching circle and if you put your neck out for Blackwell, you may find yourself blackballed as a coach/staff member in college football. Unless there's a guy loyal to Blackwell, he's got an uphill fight.
January 10th, 2020 at 7:45 PM ^
He has to keep all the cronies in line. Fear of the retribution.
January 10th, 2020 at 4:35 PM ^
He won't. This is the EXACT reason why Dantini hadn't fired anyone yet.
#exposed

Hollis already had his deposition and though it was sealed somebody leaked that he opposed Robertson being brought on campus. Mark then went to current AD Bill Beekman and got authorization as Bill was in admissions at that time.
When Hollis "retired" Bill was hand picked by Mark and the temporary then permanent replacement. If Mark's testimony proves this to be true be ready for another ground shaking level of disgust to bestow MSU.
January 10th, 2020 at 12:58 PM ^
"That's a dumb ass question!"
January 10th, 2020 at 1:10 PM ^
"It is now 9:34, today is January 1, 2020, and this is the date and time set for the deposition of Mr. Mack Dantona, head coach of the Michigan State University volleyball team. Mr. Donetino, please raise your right hand."
January 10th, 2020 at 1:25 PM ^
MD: "i, state your name, do hereby pledge...'
January 10th, 2020 at 2:04 PM ^
"I, state your name, do hereby pledge..."
January 10th, 2020 at 5:21 PM ^
“I, staee your name, do hereby pledge...”
Fixed it for both of you.
January 10th, 2020 at 1:17 PM ^
I can’t believe they’ve let it get to this point.
January 10th, 2020 at 1:31 PM ^
Did you see how staee handled the nassar case, so yes, very believable.
January 10th, 2020 at 7:54 PM ^
There’s a chance Blackwell rejected settlement offers. Might be interested in getting a pound of flesh and clearing his name, since a settlement would not MSU admit wrongdoing
January 10th, 2020 at 1:25 PM ^
Think he'll pull the legs move?
January 10th, 2020 at 1:32 PM ^
Einhorn is Dantonio, Dantonio is Einhorn!
January 10th, 2020 at 1:33 PM ^
....I dunno, I think his best defense is to slap the floor, works for izziot....
January 10th, 2020 at 1:29 PM ^
Strangely, the attorney showed up at Mork D'Antorini's house in Saginaw to do the deposition.
January 10th, 2020 at 1:39 PM ^
Interesting. Yeah I am surprised the case has gone this far with out a settlement. Would love to see that smug prick Dantini exposed. Unfortunately I am sure he will give answers like “I can’t recall” and “next question.”
Edit: I believe January 15th is when Dantini receives his bonus.
January 10th, 2020 at 1:43 PM ^
last time I had this much fun for seven hours i had watched the 2002 State game twice
January 10th, 2020 at 1:52 PM ^
I am sure he will "stand vigilant" during the questioning.
January 10th, 2020 at 2:03 PM ^
Meh...he will just LIE
January 10th, 2020 at 2:25 PM ^
atty: Coach Dantonio
Mork: I don't remember
atty: you don't remember what?
Mork: I don't recall
atty: I didn't ask you anything yet
Mork: Not to the best of my recollection
January 10th, 2020 at 3:00 PM ^
I assume that Curtis Blackwell's lawyers will be properly referred to as A Bunch of Weird Guys.
January 10th, 2020 at 3:03 PM ^
Good to see old friend Graham Couch firmly holding his L's.
