He had all the potential in the world. I’m glad he went to Michigan and gave it his all but he played behind some of the worst O Lines and he had significant injuries because of it. I wish he was Michigans QB under Harbaugh. For one reason or another Michigan High School QB’s haven’t done anything really. They’ve been solid at best but the most elite QB’s seem like they come from the hotbed states.

This should be a warning sign for Moore.  Devin was really good, until a terrible o-line broke his body and his spirit.  Why would a 5* QB want to have his career shortened by playing behind a line that shows no signs of being competent?  And for a team that is unlikely to be a top team even in their best years?  He might make that choice, but the NIL payday had better be good, because it is a career-limiting-move.

Why not leave a program that has a shot at the playoff and plenty of NIL money for a trashy sideshow like MSU which is typically the 4th best team in its own division, and which is always getting bad press for criminal or quasi-criminal conduct by its players?  If this happens, MSU must have some boosters willing to outbid even Oregon money for a player.  To each his own, but I find it hard to understand how “I can play for a consistently good program with a shot at playoffs and make a lot of money” trumps “I can play for an embarrassment of a program and make a little more money.”

If he would seriously consider them with Oregon and Nix looking so fantastic and MSU being at its least reputable point in years on and off the field, then good riddance. Don't think I buy it though.

I don't care. Not because it wouldn't make a difference, but because there's no basis for the conversation. Some MSU dude says something, no-one knows the veracity of it, no-one knows anything.

And I mean let's be real here, being an 'insider' on a college football recruiting website means very little. Plenty of hucksters and morons in that 'trade'.

It’s literally one crystal ball from a random MSU insider who is just riding the hype on the laughable Justin Thind article from a few days ago. Even Thind said it’s wishful thinking. This seems like this insider is just throwing shit at the wall and hoping it sticks while trying to get clicks and subscribers from fanbase looking for hope

This is the Michigan difference--things going too well, so let's tantalize ourselves with the idea of a recruiting coup for an opponent bc an anonymous person placed a ball midway between meh and hurrah.

There may well be a compensation package that would compel Moore and his family to flip to MSU but it would presumably need to be super lucrative to beat the deal he got from Oregon.  He's a free agent until signing day and is going to get paid, just a question of by who.

Signing with Sparty generally seems like it would be a poor business decision, though if you get enough money up front it may be worth suffering through a year or two and then (potentially, of course) hitting the portal.  Free agents do sign with bad teams, it happens all the time.

Hopefully Oregon is on the ball here and keeps him away from East Lansing, the less talent Tuck's staff has to work with the better.

What is going on?   I just took a look at 247 sports - and, it appears that every five star prospect - all 37 of them, in the 2023 class - have reopened their commitments - and, crystal balls are ALL now pointing at the Spartans.

Rumor has it: Michigan State's recruiting haul this year will make what Texas A&M did last year look like "child's play".   Nick Saban has already scheduled a news conference to discuss this - and, the NCAA is looking into it too.

I don't think any rational MSU fan is taking this crystal ball seriously. Even most irrational MSU fans are skeptical. I, for one, am enjoying the reactions on other teams' message boards. It's been pretty good entertainment.

No fucking way that Moore leaves NIL bag at Oregon, along with jobs at Nike for his family, to sign with sparty. Although Moore's father was wearing a Staee shirt at Moore's commitment ceremony.

A few points:

1. DM to MSU makes no sense from a ‘football’ perspective.  DM is an exceptional talent and his skills would be better maximized in a high profiled offense. I am rather confident MSU would not maximize his skills as building an Offense DM needs takes time, and MSU is nowhere near ready.

2. As we are seeing, HS athletes are making decisions based on immediate financial gains along with future preparation for the NFL.  Who knows what ‘package’ schools would make for him.

3. I am skeptical Oregon has soured on DM. I am also skeptical DM is wandering unless something substantial has materialized at Oregon. We ‘fans’ always know after the fact. So could be a need for him to look, but sooooo many top tier programs would take him. MSU makes no sense, and not just cause they are our in-state rival.  If MSU was in UM’s current state, then I could see a case. Now, nope.

If those high paying donors are willing to give Mel 10 million a year, have to believe they'd be willing to pony up the cash for DM. Their 10 on Mel isn't looking so good right now so they'd probably do anything to help that situation.

The first time I saw the story of Michigan St trying to flip Moore it was right during the suspensions last week. The first thing I thought is it was their way of trying to medicate their miserable outlook of the team.
