D. Hart Update per ESPN

Submitted by brendandavis22 on
Demetrius Hart has named his top 3 "...Alabama, Michigan and Auburn are my top three." He goes on to say that he likes Auburns offense and that they have shown him a lot of interest. My gut (mind you nothing like Sam's gut) says this kid ends up in Ann Arbor. Ricardo Miller seals the deal. Hey at least I put some info in post unlike the guy from yesterday. I'm still learning Mgoblog rules. Sorry again.

I think the general rule is not to cut and paste, but posting some new info is ok. I'll defer to the mods, but I think sharing that Michigan is in top 3 is ok. Always good to find an open source if possible. Maybe best thing is to put Tom VH on it. You will learn that he is awesome for getting solid info. Webb is also good at times, with his "gut feelings."

Can't wait to hear how this changes once he and his mom get on campus to talk to RR. Hopefully that sparks a change of his top three putting UM on top!

And that didn't really help our safety play one bit. I can't believe that my post got negged that much. Who gives a shit if you're in a kids top 10/top 5 it doesn't matter. All that matters is who gets them in the end. Also, no you don't have to be in the top 3. I.E. Roy Roundtree, Patrick Omameh, Carlos Brown, etc who all picked Michigan out of the blue

What? It's not enough that people on this site obsessively speculate, whine and worry about 16 and 17 year old boys that we're made aware of? Now you're asking the unshaven folk to conjure up more victims for the message board to obsess, denigrate, and attach with "bust" or "2 star not goodt enough" status? My son is 3 and has horrible pad level. Look for him in 2025.

I think Ricardo will be great as a recruiter for us (while on the team too - double bonus!), but I believe Denard has potential as well. I'm branching off of the "which recruit are you most excited to see on the field?" trunk. You might want to start using phrases like "dinner is for people with good pad level and explosive hips" around the house. 2025 is a weak class so far.

To be honest, if he still is planning on deciding early and also still planning on taking the trip to the spring game, I think our chances are solid. Once on campus, there are not a lot of places that awe and inspire with both history and modern innovation like Michigan.

Good news. Does that mean Florida is out of the picture? Come on up for the spring game, dude. You'll see that it's not always 20 degrees up here.

I've been to both Bama and Auburn...while I like their current success, Michigan is in a class of it's own when it comes to the facilities and the Big House. We're gonna get him as long as RichRod can convince momma that working hard isn't gonna get us in too much trouble with the NC2A

We're trusting ESPN now? It's pretty common for ESPN to list players' top schools that don't include U of M when we all know that U of M is in their top 3 or better. When that happens, we just say, "ESPN doesn't know what they're talking about, don't ever trust ESPN for info." But when they say something in our favor then it becomes trustworthy? Believe me, I hope this is correct, but just take it with a grain of salt.

A lot of those blurbs that come out from ESPN "quote" the players. A lot of those quotes exclude U of M when we know they shouldn't. This is not to say that ESPN makes things up, just that they're inaccurate and sloppy with their reporting. I never referred to the players' profiles. I wasn't talking about that at all before. I don't even rely on the players' profiles on Scout or Rivals. They're updated to infrequently. I'm talking about the updates on the recruiting trail where most of the posts on this board come from.

Considering the fact that D. Hart recently said, "I mean, Michigan has always been the best for me, but like I said, my mom needs to hear some things" coupled with this ESPN quote, it's pretty tough to make an allegation of sloppiness/inaccuracy here.

Alabama and Auburn have to upsell and convince. Michigan merely needs to reassure. BIG difference. My quarter sez D. Hart WANTS to come to Michigan and WILL commit soon after he's here.

his offense can showcase running backs and put them into the Heisman race (Slaton). All three of Hart's choices have that in common. Top-tier running backs will be taking close looks at Michigan, especially after Rich starts winning games in the Big Ten. Hart is ahead of the pack this year, and the potential payoff for him is enormous -- the 2012 and 2013 teams have a chance to be some of Michigan's deepest ever as the huge 2010 class comes into its own. He could ride that wave straight onto the cover of SI.

Speaking of which, Bo Jackson was the best running back in the history of the world. He was faster than a sailfish and stronger than a hungry hungry hippo. Put him in Rodriguez's offense and he'd gain 4,000 yards a season. That guy was awesome.

I love Bo Jackson as well, I would put him in my top 3 and top 1 of greatest athletes I have seen. Howeva, even Bo Jackson gave deference to Barry Sanders as a runner, after they shared the field on a famous Monday Night Football encounter. Bo does know diddley Tried unsuccessfully to to find Bo Jackson's throw from left field to nail Harold Reynolds at the plate. Unfreakinbelievable

Bo Jackson and Herschel Walker were my two favorite RB's growing up. They were men amongst boys. My dad played for UGA and I've met Herschel numerous times so I might be slightly biased. I started liking Michigan when I was ten so Wheatley and Biakbatuka were my favorite Michigan backs. Oh yea, Herschel Walker will kick your ass in the octagon too.
