Crystal ball for 2020 top100 QB

Submitted by Youngharbaugh4 on

247sports.com Director Steve Wiltfong put in a crystal ball in favor of the good guys for 2020 QB Harrison Bailey. For those who follow recruiting, he is considered "The Guy" for predictions, so this seems notable. Bailey is ranked the #68 player in 2020 and is the #2 ranked Pro-style QB. He plays for Marrietta High School in Georgia, who is home to multiple 4 and 5 stars recruits. If this prediction sticks, he would be one hell of a pickup for that 2020 class, and could headline the offensive side of the ball for what could be a possible top 5-10 class.

First reported by Steve Lorenz of 247. I do not have VIP, so I just looked to find this info out myself.

Edit: I just came across an interview from the Michigan insider. It seems as if he is familiar with the Pattersons. Shea gave him some advice and is a slight fan of his. He is also friends with Sheas younger brother Nick, who is a 2020 recruit at TE.

My two cents:

The 2019 class is not very strong at the quarterback position. Though I would take Taisun Phommachanh (spelling might not be right) if he wanted to come, it might be a good idea to stick with one QB in this class and then try to get two in 2020.

Of course, a lot of this depends on the current QBs. If Shea Patterson is eligible and is one-and-done for us, then that opens up a spot. If another guy transfers because of Patterson (or some other reason), that opens up a spot. But if everyone sticks around (Patterson, Peters, McCaffrey, Milton), then I would just stick with McNamara instead of reaching for someone else in 2019.
