UPDATE: Hoke actually broke the golden rule of his life of not talking about injuries and announces that Derrick Green broke his collarbone on Saturday.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:03 PM ^
Of course, just played one of the best games of his career.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:04 PM ^
Probably more likely he got a 'boo boo' than that he's transferring. I mean he's the #1 back...why transfer midseason?
Edit: I suppose a violation of some sort is a possibility to but no reason to speculate on that at this time

Have you seen Funk's work that past 3 years?

You mean everything?
October 6th, 2014 at 12:04 PM ^
About injuries................as Brady is thinking "So all you fucking fans can just speculate about what is going on."
October 6th, 2014 at 12:04 PM ^
He's probably hurt, won't overreact until we hear more.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if this was a mistake due to a "lack of communication." God I hope it is.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:08 PM ^
That doesn't sound like anything that would happen under this administration.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:05 PM ^
That can't be good. Haven't the injured guys been appearing on these depth charts?
October 6th, 2014 at 12:05 PM ^
On Sunday, one source told me that Derrick Green broke his collarbone against Rutgers. He's not on depth chart: http://t.co/mfyfsYkvBZ

that is little panic news, not big panic news. Yeah, a broken collar bone sucks for Green, but at least it quells the worst-case scenario a lot of us were thinking.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:19 PM ^
AMIRIGHT??
October 6th, 2014 at 12:24 PM ^
We have at least 16 months until our next bowl game, so I am sure Derrick will be ready.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:47 PM ^
hell in that timeframe, he could be playing AGAINST us...
October 6th, 2014 at 1:15 PM ^
I'm wondering if 16 months is optimistic...
October 6th, 2014 at 12:23 PM ^
I remember seeing him get up slowly and grab at his collerbone after he got tackled late in the game. I thought to myself oh crap he just broke his collerbone, but I think he got another carry after that. It looked like one of those hard tackles where he got driven into the ground. Someone with skills should find this video and embed it please. Thanks.

I heard he tripped on the sidelines over Hoke's headphones

Steve Lorenz is saying it's a broken collarbone.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:39 PM ^
OH THANK GOODNESS!!!..........wait..... :(
October 6th, 2014 at 12:06 PM ^
broken collarbone.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:09 PM ^
but I thought it was the T word. Speedy recovery Derrick. Get ready for next year.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:07 PM ^
Word from Rivals message board is a broken collarbone.
EDIT: Beaten by like six people.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:11 PM ^
slow in your old age...
October 6th, 2014 at 12:07 PM ^
Derrick had enough of this?
October 6th, 2014 at 12:07 PM ^
Well, our goal of beating Penn State is still attainable.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:09 PM ^
Calling it right now: violation of team rules.
EDIT: Welp, guess I'm way off and need to type faster. Broken collar bone... ugh.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:14 PM ^
Going to go ahead and lock in this epic fail of a butt-out-of-pulling. Though cheers for not editing the original content, my friend.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:43 PM ^
Hey, when I make mistakes, I admit it and take it like a man. I don't try to skirt the issue and cover it up, like a certain AD and HC I know of...
October 6th, 2014 at 12:15 PM ^
Double because I really mean it
October 6th, 2014 at 12:08 PM ^
Broken collarbone? Damn.
Bad luck. He looked pretty good last game.
I guess we'll see how good Smith is and if Hayes should have seen more carries early.
Get well soon DG.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:10 PM ^
Green is even healthy...he was helped off the field and didn't play on the last drive.
Might be the Justice Hayes show on Saturday

Hoke: "we aren't going to talk about guys who aren't on the depth chart"
October 6th, 2014 at 12:09 PM ^
It looks like Magnuson is back at LG and Kalis is back on the bench. I'm not sure that's a good thing.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:16 PM ^
Magnuson actually started Saturday.
October 7th, 2014 at 8:48 AM ^
i agree
October 6th, 2014 at 12:10 PM ^
Take that for what it is worth.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:11 PM ^
I'm sure Hoke will clear everything up at his press conference today. We'll have all the info we need after that.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:12 PM ^
If it is a season ending injury, it's too late for a medical waiver, yes?
October 6th, 2014 at 12:48 PM ^
Way too late. DG's faux medical hardship redshirt was after playing in only the first 3 games of his freshman season...and even then it was iffy whether he was going to get it.

Its like being on the Titanic and getting worried about wet clothes.

PEPPERS TO RB!!!
October 6th, 2014 at 12:12 PM ^
Broken collar bones are a bitch. Mostly it's immobilize the arm and be careful of sudden movements. Also, get slip-on shoes because it's impossible to reach and tie the laces.
I speak from experience.
October 6th, 2014 at 12:12 PM ^
At least one of Devin's sack's was from his blown pass protection
