Confidence levels on recruits

Submitted by Real and Spectacular on

Curious to hear how confident you are in landing the targets we are currently recruiting. Here are mine:

Near locks-90+%: Black, Anthony, Ruiz

Looking good-75%: Wilson, Singleton, Collins

Cautiously optimistic-60%: Filiaga, Irvin-Bey, Hicks, DPJ (My head tells me UM but he's so quiet about everything, it makes me nervous)

Fighting from behind- 35%: Harris, Tufele, Solomon, Gay (All these guys are major talents but I can't really say we lead for any of them)

There are a few others in the mix and new names may pop up, but I'm really hoping we get everyone from the top 2 categories and 3 or 4 of the bottom 2.

The only reason I didn't put DIB in the lock category is I don't know if he is a definite take. Heard that his visit to UM was to see if he "felt the love". In other words, he wanted to know how bad we wanted him. If we tell him to hold off a little it might put him off. I hope we get him.

I think you're spot on for the most part...I think you need one more level between 60% and 35%.

I'd drop Hicks into that category, I'd elevate everyone but Harris into that category. I'd add Oliver Martin on the Harris category at 35% - but for different reasons obviously.

We also have a few commits that I'd add to this list because I don't consider them 100%.

I feel pretty good about DPJ, but he's always been pretty quiet so who the hell knows.

With Harris, I'm feeling like we're still fighting from behind on that one. The fact that he came for an official is great, and we do have a legitimate shot. But until he actually says he's coming to Michigan, I doubt it happens.

You don't flip very many guys from Saban. Especially RB commits who just have to look at Saban's track record at Alabama and see how dominant the run game has been year in and year out. You're running behind an offensive line where at least three or four guys are going in the first round of the draft.

In the end, it'll come down to what Harris wants in his coach. Can't go wrong with either one as they're both highly successful, proven coaches. But do you want a straight-laced, all business kind of coach, or an energetic, quirky, and possible nut-case of a coach who looks like he's having fun every single day he's on the job?

He had a a so called "NFL expert" BWAAA HA HA HA some Jason characture.Who went to Stanford and he is putting words in John U Bacon mouth saying that he would tell you he expects Jim to leave soon too. Amongst all sorts of BS he pulled while at Stanford. They just won't give it up it's so sad that it should be criminal. I mean if it's up in the air for a recruit and he can't decide between OSU and U of M he could skip UM for the safety of the coach staying even though Meyer could leave just as fast a Harbaugh probably sooner.

I am sure he will pretend that he is just trying to protect the players from making a mistake and they need to know all of his facts before they make their decision. If guys start putting off their decisions it worked if not everybody saw through it. Here's hoping for the latter.

We lead for Wilson. Bama is the only competition for him and even their recruiting guys have BALLZ'd him to Michigan. Word is that "Michigan will be hard to beat," for Solomon too.

I've been wrong before and I could be wrong here, but I watched his highlight film and was not overly impressed. I think he could be a bust. Good back no doubt, pretty fast in straight line speed, but when I watch him run he looks like Kevin Grady 2.0. He has one or two moves that work against lesser competition, but that don't bode well in college. Having said that I would love to have him in our class and live up to the hype.
