This conference is terrible, dissolve the divisions & pull The Game into September/early October
November 5th, 2022 at 6:03 PM ^
I concur.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:03 PM ^
Speaking of terrible
November 5th, 2022 at 6:05 PM ^
You certainly cannot be referring to 7-1 ILL getting drubbed by staee and their only other loss was against the other cellar dweller in the B1G East - Indiana.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:30 PM ^
Or Ohio State beating Northwestern by only 14? Dare. I. Say. It???
Overrated? Ryan Day running a Big 12 "basketball on grass with no defense" team? Yet that performance today puts the whole basketball thing in question. We all know they will always show up for us but Urban's Buckeyes were relentless all season long. Day's Buckeyes not so much.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:35 PM ^
But but but
Jim Knowles defensive savant
November 5th, 2022 at 6:37 PM ^
Selective memory? Urban's last four teams each lost a conference game. And in 2017 and 2018 Urban's OSU got blown out by Iowa and Purdue no less.
Ryan Day has lost one Big Ten game in 3 and a half plus years...against us last year.
November 5th, 2022 at 7:20 PM ^
He also did not lose to UM, which is lot more important to them than anything else you said. The way they played today, they seem to be well on their way to a second loss.

Cyan Day*
The exhaust port of the OSU deathstar
November 5th, 2022 at 7:01 PM ^
Speaking of which, why did the rebels have to run the trench at all? Why not attack the exhaust port directly at a perpendicular angle? Skip the trench gauntlet entirely and get a better angle to fire your missile.
November 5th, 2022 at 7:39 PM ^
Wasn't the trench serving as cover from all the weaponry on the surface?
November 5th, 2022 at 6:32 PM ^
Poifect.
November 5th, 2022 at 11:16 PM ^
I’m honestly curious what made OP THIS upset. Are people that invested in MSU losing? Or is it OSU winning? I would assume people are used to that.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:05 PM ^
How about just get rid of conference title games? Conferences are so big now theyre all watered down.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:24 PM ^
I'd be all for this. But only in my fantasy world of six 10-team conferences.
You play everyone in your conference (9 games) + 3 non-conference games...for a conference championship.
6 conference champions + 2 at-large teams in an 8 team playoff.
Quarterfinals on home site of #1-#4, Semi's and Championship just like they do now.
---------------
Then take the next 60, create a division for that group (D2, if you will)....and do the exact same thing.
---------------
Then take the next 60, create a division for that group (D3, if you will)...and do the exact same thing.
...I'd watch all 3 divisions and they would actually be interesting. A regular season matchup between #2 Western Michigan vs. #4 North Dakota St.? Put that on a Thursday or Friday and sign me up. I'll tune in to see two Top 5 programs go at it.

How dare you come up with a good system! how dare you! Shame
November 5th, 2022 at 6:07 PM ^
Absolutely not
(though dissolving the divisions is fine)

Re: putting Michigan/OSU at the beginning of the year, terrible take.
Michigan does not beat OSU last year if that game is played in September. Michigan will always need to be the best version of itself to beat those guys.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:19 PM ^
And how many years has Michigan entered The Game down key players without the depth OSU has had with 5 stars on the bench ready to step in.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:24 PM ^
While true last year, perhaps, that is not some kind of rule. I think we would have benefited from having the game as a conference opener the last 15 years. It certainly couldn't have hurt.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:37 PM ^
Ohio State has become a soft program playing basketball on grass.
This is not Urban Meyer or Jim Tressel's Ohio State.
Cold weather and physical play are not where they thrive.
Best to test them on that.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:50 PM ^
I think if we played them the day we played PSU, we would have won going away
November 5th, 2022 at 6:53 PM ^
When 2 of 18 works out thats not a rule thats an exception. Lets take a shot at a new rule.
November 6th, 2022 at 12:35 AM ^
They have also slipped early before, oregon last year, and didn’t look great week 1 this year against a team we all know now is meh. Goes both ways
November 5th, 2022 at 6:09 PM ^
Post a comment and take your negs for this asinine suggestion.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:09 PM ^
I am dumber for reading this OP
November 5th, 2022 at 6:13 PM ^
Have my downvote. The oh so deep SEC is lauded when there are close games, the god awful B1G is laughed at. What gives?
November 5th, 2022 at 6:25 PM ^
Better PR team.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:57 PM ^
It's pretty likely the B1G & SEC will each have 10 teams in bowls.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:14 PM ^
What the hell is wrong with you?
November 5th, 2022 at 6:15 PM ^
Nice try DB
November 5th, 2022 at 6:15 PM ^
Are you watching the other conferences' games today?
November 5th, 2022 at 6:15 PM ^
I'm 61 years old. Newsflash most BIG team's suck. So fucking what? Just be thankful we are not among them
November 5th, 2022 at 6:22 PM ^
Seriously. The complaints about the BiG being so bad is so stupid. Like why the fck do you care. Let them be bad
November 5th, 2022 at 6:39 PM ^
And it wasn't that long ago that we were among them. Just be happy we're doing well.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:16 PM ^
can't we just take purdue and the west will automatically improve with the Cali teams?
November 5th, 2022 at 6:21 PM ^
The funniest gif ever!
November 5th, 2022 at 6:24 PM ^
Funny how?
November 5th, 2022 at 6:37 PM ^
Funny like I’m a clown?
November 5th, 2022 at 6:37 PM ^
Am I clown? Do I amuse you?
November 5th, 2022 at 6:39 PM ^
Uh oh...
November 5th, 2022 at 6:22 PM ^
There is a reason we used to say Big 2 and Little 10. It just took UM 15 years to get back on track after 2007. This trend is going to continue with USC joining the top. However, UM and OSU will be the stars of the B1G regardless.
You really thought Illinois is suddenly going to transform into a juggernaut. They played a 7 OT game last year and could not score....
November 5th, 2022 at 6:36 PM ^
USC may find that life’s a little tougher with road games in Ann Arbor and/or Columbus instead of Tempe, Tucson, Corvallis, and Pullman.
November 5th, 2022 at 6:22 PM ^
Shut up
November 5th, 2022 at 6:23 PM ^
How about no?
November 5th, 2022 at 6:26 PM ^
The conference is pretty lousy this year. Usually there's a group of good/really good teams among UM, MSU, OSU, PSU, UW, UI and maybe someone jumping in.
This year it is a really big dropoff after UM + OSU
November 5th, 2022 at 6:26 PM ^
The guys don't want to hear that but you are right. Play the third week of big ten schedule play again for conference championship.. change the championship game Thanksgiving weekend. The conference makes too much money to be this bad in football. Every team should have a high recruiting ranking
