This conference is terrible, dissolve the divisions & pull The Game into September/early October

and if the CFG is a Michigan vs. Ohio State rematch every year, so be it. I can't take this terrible conference anymore, all of these stupid teams are terrible.

Or Ohio State beating Northwestern by only 14? Dare. I. Say. It???

Overrated? Ryan Day running a Big 12 "basketball on grass with no defense" team? Yet that performance today puts the whole basketball thing in question. We all know they will always show up for us but Urban's Buckeyes were relentless all season long. Day's Buckeyes not so much.

I'd be all for this. But only in my fantasy world of six 10-team conferences.

You play everyone in your conference (9 games) + 3 non-conference games...for a conference championship.

6 conference champions + 2 at-large teams in an 8 team playoff.

Quarterfinals on home site of #1-#4, Semi's and Championship just like they do now.

---------------

Then take the next 60, create a division for that group (D2, if you will)....and do the exact same thing.

---------------

Then take the next 60, create a division for that group (D3, if you will)...and do the exact same thing.

...I'd watch all 3 divisions and they would actually be interesting. A regular season matchup between #2 Western Michigan vs. #4 North Dakota St.?  Put that on a Thursday or Friday and sign me up. I'll tune in to see two Top 5 programs go at it.

Re: putting Michigan/OSU at the beginning of the year, terrible take.

Michigan does not beat OSU last year if that game is played in September. Michigan will always need to be the best version of itself to beat those guys.

There is a reason we used to say Big 2 and Little 10. It just took UM 15 years to get back on track after 2007. This trend is going to continue with USC joining the top. However, UM and OSU will be the stars of the B1G regardless.

You really thought Illinois is suddenly going to transform into a  juggernaut. They played a 7 OT game last year and could not score....

The conference is pretty lousy this year.   Usually there's a group of good/really good teams among UM, MSU, OSU, PSU, UW, UI and maybe someone jumping in.

This year it is a really big dropoff after UM + OSU

The guys don't want to hear that but you are right.  Play the third week of big ten schedule play again for conference championship..  change the championship game Thanksgiving weekend.  The conference makes too much money to be this bad in football.  Every team should have a high recruiting ranking
