Colin Cowherd torches OSU fans on Twitter
I say it's time forgive the man
Media can piss and moan all they want about Meyer lying to them, but it doesn't really matter what they think. OSU has circled the wagons and it's apparent Meyer is not getting fired. Hell, Zach Smith, who Meyer just fired, is on ESPN right now sticking up for him.
Idk that Zach Smith defending him is something that's going to help him.
Zach Smith also denied abusing his wife. Brett McMurphy then released a text between Zach and Courtney showing Zach acknowledging choking her on two occasions.
You don’t normally put a guy on administrative leave if you’re planning on rallying behind him.
I liked the guy before this...love the guy now. Sure, he’s had not nice things to say about the things I like, which suck to hear sometimes, but when it comes down to it, he also says bad things about those who deserve it. This is a case where he’s been ruthless for the last 72 hours and deservedly so. I get that he’s not loved here so this will die quickly but...the enemy of my enemy is...my friend??? Or however that goes?
forgive who? Urban or Cowherd?
I hope Urban stays. Liar and abuse enabler - that stink doesn’t wash off. Win at all cost.
Just puts OSU in a certain section of schools and they are usually referred to as “SEC”. Nothing new to see here.

I’d rather see OSU do the right thing. We already have MSU to shake our heads at.
MSU football getting their comeuppance soon? Maybe? For real this time?
Yes, we must want OSU to do the right thing and fire Meyer. It is selfish and sincerely wrong to want OSU to sully their reputation for decades by keeping this horrible man.
Funny! Fellow alum David Alan Grier in the replies.

As good as the tweet was, him trolling the fake news retweeting idiots in the comments is better.
The cognitive dissonance and mental gymnastics of the OSU fans is crazy. I bleed maize n Blue, but I would hope that I would encourage my school to do the right thing. MSU and PSU are disgraceful. I’m hoping OSU does the right thing. Though it may even be better if they keep Meyer. Can you imagine 60-100k fans wearing wife beater t-shirts with Urban Meyer knows on them? At every OSU game?
God that entire reply chain is my daily life here in Ohio. Someone in Ohio could have someone else sitting on their face, and then hear a news report stating that someone is sitting on their face. And their only response is "Fake news at it again!"
The wagons are circled in Ohio. The rationalizations flow like water. Being deliberately obtuse is required. They sound exactly like PSU, MSU and Baylor fans.

The longer this 'investigation' takes the better the chances are of Meyer being retained.
You know what? I'm ok with that. Let them have him.
If we beat them without him, we'll never hear the end of the "you couldn't beat us when Urban was here bullshit". So I'd rather do it with him in charge of their shitshow. That way all doubt can be removed from the equation.

The days of a fanbase "circling the wagons" are over. With social media, the groupthink of a place like OSU (or PSU or Baylor or anywhere else) has lost its controlling grip on the message. It is liberating that each harmed individual can now break the stranglehold of the oppressor. It is the ultimate weapon of free speech - the truth unleashed. Watch the #MeToo movement "circle the wagons" around the truth in support of Courtney's struggle with an abusive husband and his enabler Urban Meyer.
President Blake gets it. That is why the OSU marching band director was dismissed for cause despite the wagons having been circled in Columbus in opposition of that outcome. He seeks a national reputation of greatness and high integrity for OSU. He is a Stanford grad and trained as a highly ethical doctor, I doubt he will succumb to the pitchforks.
Well, for one the President at OSU is Michael Drake, not Blake. He has had some small controversies in the past, including firing and then rehiring a law professor at UCI seemingly due to outside complaints in both corcumstances. Drake was also hired before Smith's 2015 arrest, and seemingly didn't do anything about the situation despite it apparently being an open secret on campus. And sure, maybe a president shouldn't be involved in day-to-day operations of staff members, but he had the existing 2009 incident and so it wasn't unknown.
As for firing a band director, that is a far cry from him to your head football coach. Obviously you hope he facilitates the investigstion that is starting up, but every president has great bona fides and yet we've seen a lot of them fail to do their duties when the pressure it turned up.
Maybe he finally GREW THE FUCK UP and realized what really matters . Don't be surprised if he's a Harbaugh supporter going forward
Some of those comments - ugh.
This is one of those situations where nobody is a good guy and we're just discussing varying degrees of jerks.
