Civil War is surprisingly contentious

Oregon St w/ the lead 34-31 w/ a good amount of time left in the 4th Q

Tyler Shough... Oregon's QB... wasn't he someone Michigan wanted a couple years ago? Name sounds familiar.

Yes we offered him before he blew up as a recruit and we wanted him as our second QB after Milton. He became Oregon’s primary QB target and he picked them and we chose Kevin Doyle as our second QB (who obviously decommitted later)

Yep, I sat with his father and mother at the Elite 11 finals for a few hours in Redondo Beach a few years ago. Spoke to Tyler for a while as well. Very nice family. Sounds like Michigan had a real shot with him at the time.

I was rooting for the Cal Golden Bears to retain the Stanford Axe earlier but they were unsuccessful. Memorial Stadium in Berkeley looks like a picturesque venue to see a game, can anyone speak to that?

I think it’s a lot nicer after the renovation a couple years ago. It was once a real dump, in a gorgeous setting. Still the same killer views of the hills. The field is up the hill from the bars, and there is a pretty cool beer garden at halftime.

a very Bears way to lose today. Man. The Bears are basically the Lions and Jeff Tedford was like Wayne Fontes.

OSU should have kicked the field goal on their last possession which would have cut it to 38-37...but they still have 2 minutes and just got the ball at mid field. Still have a really good chance.

I would think any civil war would be contentious! (think OP was looking for "competitive")

Beavers get the ball back near midfield, down four, with a chance to win it!
