Civil War is surprisingly contentious

Oregon St w/ the lead 34-31 w/ a good amount of time left in the 4th Q

Tyler Shough... Oregon's QB... wasn't he someone Michigan wanted a couple years ago? Name sounds familiar.

Oregon was a pretty heavy favorite to their main rival, and lost.  Sounds familiar.  Are we sure Cristobal should be on our short list if JH walks?

Second half collapse, awful defensive effort, offense was meh.  There was nothing remarkable about that team.

Matt Campbell, OTOH, displayed a team with excellent discipline and won in gutsy fashion against a team with a talented graduating senior QB that 100% needed that win.  Give me Matt Campbell all day every day over Mario Cristobal.

I actually wanted Oregon to lose! Gives us a slight chance of getting him! They keep winning there is no chance he comes .why would he? For money? Once we offer him he will get a huge raise. He's recruiting like crazy there( 6 overall last year) also ended up 6 in the ap poll last year. I know it's not a good look to lose to Oregon state! Other than that the only way I would see him leaving ( if harbaugh stays another year) urban goes to usc at the end of this year.maybe he wouldn't want to go against him every year...even thou we have osu!

Cristobal stock ... is falling. Don't want a guy who loses in rivalry games to teams named "OSU".

Unfortunately it seems to be a year with no great coaches out there. May be reason to keep JH, despite everything.

For those on the Campbell train, Matt Campbell's track record is this:

2011    Toledo.   1–0
2012    Toledo    9–4
2013    Toledo    7–5
2014    Toledo    9–4
2015    Toledo    9–2

2016    Iowa State    3–9
2017    Iowa State    8–5
2018    Iowa State    8–5
2019    Iowa State    7–6
2020    Iowa State    7–2

Just too many L's, imho. Probably a good coach. Probably not elite. Also, OSU is winning right now because Urban set up an elite recruiting machine (wiped cellphone and all). If some random coach gets hired, he won't be able to come close to the talent level at OSU. At this point, I'd take a top notch recruiter who knows how to delegate.
