Choose: 7-5 & W vs. OSU, 9-3 & L vs. OSU

So I've seen different discussions on how many wins we get this year. Obviously, we won't know much until after the first game or two. But for me, it isn't just the wins, it is who the wins are against. If we have wins against Directional Michigans, ND, & OSU, plus 3 more, I'll be happy. I would rather have that than 9 wins and losses to ND & OSU. What about you? If you had to choose between 7-5 & a win vs. OSU, or 9-3 & a loss vs. OSU, what would you take?

If we somehow went 7-5 (7-1 Big Ten), beating tOSU and going to Pasadena...yeah you have to take that. Losing to EMU, Delaware State and JIMMAH would almost be expected because 3-9, but you a) Win the PSU/MSU/'vest trifecta, thus possibly interrupting Dantonio's monopoly on every high-school football player in the state of Michigan. b) Actually WIN on Senior Day, and c) Make Justin Boren regret he ever heard the phrase "Those who stay will be champions." Then the beloved Maize and Blue, 26-point underdog to 11-1 USC (with their one loss being to Arizona--bank it), pulls off the upset in the Rose Bowl. Tell me you wouldn't try to be first in line to buy THAT season highlights DVD. (Heh, and I was gonna vote for 9-3.)

I want both...screw it...the last thing you want after a victory over tOSU is that they have some rejoinder like..."ok, we lost but, like, you guys went 7-5 so you still suck...and you were at home...blah...blah...blah...blah" No close game against tOSU either. Run it up. Rub their faces in it. I want us to be up like 69-0 with all the starters in and going for the two point conversion on final touchdown with seconds to go ... just ... well ... because I think it was in the Mighty Ducks, like the Bad News Bears but with hockey where the poor sport "bad" team had the chant: "It ain't worth winning if you can't win big!" ...I have always liked that one...and it goes double against tOSU

Since I have predicted 5-7, I would gladly take either scenario. If I had to chose, I would pick 7-5 and beat OSU. It would show significant improvement from last year. Stop a horrendous slide and since its the last game of the year, it would be the last memory for kids who were committing and enrolling early, which could help us a lot if it was between us and OSU. But now that I think about it more, entering that game 9-2 means we would have been getting a ton of great press up to that point. Shit I don't know. Either one would make me happy.
