Nothing groundbreaking but I thought it was fun and good to see Wright looking like he's connecting with Michigan commits. Fingers crossed for him to go blue

This is a most depressing perspective. You deserve better. I’m thankful I have memories of Michigan dominating Ohio State for a time. I was at the 2003 game, and I appreciated every moment of that win, but had I known we’d only win one more time between then and at least 2020, I’d have tried to soak it in some more. I wish I could turn off caring about it.

Have you watched one game of the OSU Michigan rivalry in the last 20 years? Have you seen any OSU season of the last 20 years play out? If you have, then you’d understand why he answered the way he did.

Sure, he probably half heartedly meant it as a joke. Odds are that won’t actually happen. But honestly, it wouldn’t be remotely surprising if it actually happened that way. If there is one constant in this universe besides death and taxes, it’s that OSU always gets what it wants in football, and everything always breaks the way it should for them.

Go ahead and call me Eeyore over it. I’ve seen enough heartbreak for Michigan to know this is usually how it works.

I don't know. Why would people commenting on a blog devoted to Michigan sports be depressed and cynical when football comes up? I can't possibly imagine the answer.

If you want positivity, think about this: there's an almost 100% chance that 150 years from now, even if Western civilization still exists (LOL) it is an almost absolute certainty that not a single person will remember that you ever existed. Now THAT is something to be positive about. Imagine the possibilities of what you could do with your life!

So because I recently made an account to comment on Michigan Wolverines sports, I am a troll?

I’m a young, but lifelong Wolverines fan that is seeing what might be the worst effort from a Michigan team since Rich Rod and Hoke were in their final seasons.

Pardon if I’m a bit cynical and my use of sarcasm flew over everyone’s head. That said, the sad truth is I’m not getting my hopes up about recruiting.

Even if we get guys like Wright, I honestly don’t think Don Brown and the staff could coach them up right. Every year we psyche ourselves up about recruiting and do jack squat with what we get or get our hearts ripped out when at the last second someone goes to another school.

I’m not getting my hopes up here.

"I’m a young, but lifelong Wolverines fan that is seeing what might be the worst effort from a Michigan team since Rich Rod and Hoke were in their final seasons."

So I'm gonna +1 for this - because we are certainly seeing the worst effort on the field, by both coaches and players, since RR and Hoke were in their last years.

"I honestly don’t think Don Brown and the staff could coach them up..."

I'm gonna -1 for this.  Brown has coached the #2, 13, 16, and 25 defenses in the last four years.  You could say the trend is going backwards, and the truth that lack of CB's and DT's fucking hurts is blatant.  He should be rightly blamed for those two groups' lack of talent.  Fireable offenses?  Certainly.  Also, in these rankings, realize that (with the very slight exception of 2016) he had no offense protecting his defense.  In an era of high scoring boat races, the offense has done fuck all to help the defense.  His defenses have kept the team afloat for the last 3 years, if not all four, because the Harbaughffense has sucked common ass.

This year he clearly needs help, and is getting nothing of the sort.  Put a 'normal' college offense on the field and Michigan is 3-1, at worst - and we're not torching and pitchforking Brown above all else.

Take him to task for not recruiting any CB's or DT's - because that IS the issue.  Saying he 'can't coach'em up'?  JFC, look at his career as a DC.  If I'm Brown, and I get axed after the season, I go away shitting all over Harbaugh's shitty-ass offense.  Modern college football isn't played by 'establishing the run' and clock control.

Wright seems like he loved his visit based on his recent twitter behavior. And hey, there's early playing time available. A top-100 player could be helpful at CB.
