Cole has been messing up over and over and now, a week before signing day when we are almost out of room he is dismissed and he is to blame. Boy are we lucky, perfect timing for us, couldn't have planned it better.

Yeah, because it's so lucky to lose a young blue chip recruit who was the most athletic kid in the state when he was in high school, and still has lots of potential to be a contributor (or better) in his upper classmen years.  Real lucky.

oh F off. Are you kidding? apparently you have no sense of things.. and what you're implying is ridiculous for it'd have far served us better had he left a few months ago,for recruit purposes. And Harbaugh isn't on your time.

experimenting with weed 31 years ago.  And now I rarely drink, but not to brag or anything, but I was a functioning alcoholic in my 20s and 30s.

Do I have to go back on the booze and get serious about weed before I can move on?  Can I skip rape and murder (I find those both wrong/evil even if I would be stoned and drunk) and go straight to genocide?

What's interesting to me is that you find rape and murder to be wrong and evil, but are happy to skip over to genocide.  Tap that moral compass, good sir!  The needle's stuck.

(Yeah - I'm aware of my user name and the glass house that puts me in.  Here's the thing.  The view from a glass house is terrific!)

Think of it as a bucket list.  You've already covered cigarettes (likely), booze, and weed.  So consider those boxes checked.

Ever taken a cold remedy?  Based on the way that they lock that shizz up, that's practically doing meth.  Check.

Next up is rape.  Have you ever cut someone's hair?  Rape of the lock.  Check.

Next up is murder.  Have you ever eaten meat?  Meat is murder.  (Ask Morrissey.)  Check.

Next is genocide.  Have you ever sung along to Panic in Detroit (live)*?  Well, it's pretty well-known that that's not rock-and-roll.  It's genocide.  Check.

You're welcome.

*I think the lyric "this ain't rock and roll this is genocide" is technically in the song Future Legend.  But my best recollection is Bowie yelling that right before breaking into Panic In Detroit.

Future Legend is the opening track on that album, and contains the "this ain't rock and roll, this is genocide" lyric.  But the next song is Diamond Dogs, so it forms a natural lead-in/segue to Diamond Dogs.  Good catch.

As an aside, IIRC, the lyrics from Panic in Detroit were inspired by Bowie and Iggy strolling through Ann Arbor, and being amused by all the faux revolutionaries they saw on the street.  Sort of a (to steal from Jello Biafra) "stab your back if you trash our halls, trash a bank if you've got real balls" sentiment that's lost on a huge percentage of fans of that song.*

*Similar to Born in the USA or This Land is Your Land, neither of which are about what most people think they're about.**

**I realize this is an old thread, and nobody will see this!  But if you take time to politely correct me, I'll usually take time to acknowledge the effort.

Would have loved for him to be a part of the multi-year long redemption tour we are about to embark on.

Good luck to him, hope the grass is greener on the other side.

We need our best athletes to stay around and play good football for once. Yet another example of a highly touted guy not living up to expectation. This list is getting too long: Boubacar, Turner, Campbell, Grady, Mallett, C. Christian, and on and on and on and on.
