Brave Williams, 7'1" 400-pound high school nose guard.

Submitted by Firstbase on

Didn't see anything posted (apologies if already on the board), but here's an interesting story on Brave Williams. He's a 7'1" 400-pound (and kinda slow) prep nose guard. Not sure if he's D1 material or not, but he does occupy space!

Shutup ho trout! Get that kid in some plyometrics drills/training for a year or two and a good weight program, he just might be unstoppable. Never doubt the Baugh and Drev either fool. Cant over look trying to move 400 lbs!

Edit: Orland Pace was or is 6 foot 7 inches. This kid is 7 foot or whatever. 6 inches is about what my schlong is. Not that big of a deal.

The bio says he plays basketball, and if he dropped some weight, he'd be a moose-like center. He's just far too tall to be effective in college, and you can see it even in his high school clips.

The kid has a ton going for him outside of football, so maybe he can find a place on a lower-division team if he wants.

he coudl become a useable Div II or III bb center, gain an education and make a quick move to the WWF or whatever it might be called, unless he wanted to use his degree quicker. Thinking there might be some quick money in it for him and allow him to get out quickly.

Hoping I'm wrong and if it's his dream to play football it somehow works out.

Twwnty years ago he would have made millions in the NBA. Think: Marc Eaton. He was a >7' monster who rode the bench at UCLA but was indispensible to the Jazz. Alas, Steph has put an end to the NBA's low-post game so nowadays he can be at an NBA game only if he buys a ticket. Or rampages at the gate.

Two separate water bottle shots. He only broke free a few times. I think he would be fine in a d3 program. He needs to workout to get points to improve his speed and agility. If he had 85 speed and 75 agility, he would be the greatest of all time. Put him on offense and get his speed to 78 and btk to 90+, and you have Uber Dayne

I went up against a 6'7" 370lb DT back junior year of high school. The first play, he lifted me up and carried me 10 yds back. It was impressive, but he was completely oblivious to the play and had no impact on it. 2nd play, I cut blocked him. And I continued to just dive at his knees the rest of the game until he was literally begging on the verge of tears for the other DT to lineup on my side instead. Moral of the story - I love tall, big d-lineman and how easy they are to bring down. There's no better satisfaction than chopping down a tree.
