Brady as an OC Post-NFL??

Submitted by MGrether on February 8th, 2021 at 9:08 AM

In listening to the Post-Super Bowl newsfeed, there was a lot of talk about what Brady brought to the Buccaneers as far as how to run an operation: how to plan, how to prepare, how to train. There was even a comment from the HC about "I would just step back and let Brady coach the offense."

What do you think the possibility is of Brady wanting to become an OC after his NFL stint? Would he just want to hang it up when he is done, or would he be wanting to put on the whistle himself? I think his organization mindset would accel, but it would be a hard sell to get him from Tampa to Ann Arbor. But, that would be sweet for recruiting: Come play for the GOAT.

I know the author who wrote his TB12 book.  He worked with him over a 6 months to finish the product.  According to him, he is interested in becoming part owner of a football team.

In August 2019, Brady stated emphatically he had no interest in becoming a coach.  His continued success as a player and in his business ventures as well as his devotion to his family are unlikely to motivate him to consider coaching in the future.

"Brady was asked by reporters after Thursday's joint practices with the Titans in Nashville about one day squaring off against former teammate and Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel on the sidelines, and the 42-year-old veteran quickly replied, "Oh hell no, I'm never coaching. Playing is enough for me."

I would like to see him join the WWE, become intercontinental champion at wrestlemania then take the heavyweight championship at hell on a cell. Then join the fast and the furious franchise as The Wolverine, a mysterious yet good hearted ex-con who is trying to save his sister from making poor life choices.

Why does everyone think every former UM player wants to be a coach and that they would come do it at UM?

Generally guys like TB and Woodson don't end up as coaches in the end.

Hart will remain the RB and Bellamy will continue with WRs.

Jake Butt plans to coach TEs whole Steve Hutchinson will coach the OL.

On defense, LaMarr Woodley will take the DL while Larry Foote leaves the Bucs to take over the LBs. Ty Law will help Woodson with the CBs and MGoBlog favorite Marcus Ray will coach the Ss.

the possibility of TB coming to Ann Arbor for more than 3 days time is below 5% so the idea that he might be an OC here or HC here some day is honestly below 1%...hell below .0001%.  And Honestly I think Tom has a good relationship with us...not a great one.
