Biggest Positive Surprise of the Game? Biggest Negative?

In honor of BPONE I'll start with OSU's drive running it down our throats to tie it.  After the last 2 years I never expected something like that (there was a fair deal of questionable holding).  But holy shit did UM respond.  Those to drives to go 17-17 and then 24-17 were the pivot of the game, where once again OSU couldn't deal with the fact that we don't cave like everyone else, and Sherrone doesn't Frames Janklin.

Biggest Surprising Positive: Sherrone did not call a chickenshit game or turtle at all.

Surprise - the option pass by the Don

Disappointment - Defense getting gashed a bit and the front 4 not getting to McCord much, except the last play and a couple others.

Moore definitely had some turtling moments. Absolutely played with fire at the end with that conservative play call, especially with Johnson out. So hard disagree with that take.

Biggest surprise was Michigan’s run game after Zinter went down. I thought we were gonna lose after that OSU ran it down our throats. Figured Moore would be stubborn and run run throw punt the game away. He was stubborn and went run run, but it shockingly worked after doing nothing in the first half.

Biggest negative was clearly the injury to Zinter. Hope it doesn’t hurt his pro career too severely.

Rush defense was spotty for sure. OSU has a shit ton of talent and it’s a desperate emotional rivalry game, but they had some rough moments.

Other negative moments: losing Zinter. There’s almost no way he’s back for the CFP.

Positive moments: JJ rose to the occasion today when it was called upon. That throw to Roman was an absolute NFL dime. That’s the kind of throw Tom Brady makes in his prime.

Other positive moment: I was really worried this team would begin to crack after Zinter went down. But it’s almost as if they got stronger when he did. I want him back badly, but this is what Moore and Harbaugh prepared for when having this kind of depth.

Best was being in the crowd, what an amazing experience for the entire game

Worst was the timeouts maybe, but I had so much fun and had nothing else to do today besides beat Ohio

Biggest surprise: solid o-line play after Zinter went down.

Biggest negative: Zinter going down

Also, anyone else find it amusing how 3rd base spent the past 363 days claiming he was a changed man, a new coach, and would be more aggressive in his decisions and play to win.  Yet when they had a 4th and 1 near midfield, he punted.

Positive Surprises:

- That we could run without our best OL player

- That we could defend the pass without our best DB player

- The Orji plays

- Barnhart held his own

- The refs didn't go out of their way to hurt us

- We scored on 5 of 6 non-kneel down drives at the end

- We responded to every single punch in the mouth

It took three straight holds to get that TD. It was bs.

The injuries were the biggest downer but it was followed quickly by Barnhart-Jones being respectable in the right side. Surprise!
