Big 12 Will Play Fall Football

You really want to make this a political argument after the absolute failure of leadership in this country relative to other developed nations hit by the same pandemic?

We'd have a much better argument to have football right now if your dear orange leader didn't call covid a hoax for the first 3 months to DrUMB up his base.  We are the only country that managed to politicize masks and social distancing - and that came from the anti-science wing, conspiracy crowd on the right.

We'd be in the same situation as Europe, where they have returned 80% of their normal daily activities - while still taking the appropriate precautions in an attempt to control spikes. From the magical thinking of the virus just "disappearing",  to the promoting of snake oil false cures in news conferences, it's your orange cult leader and sycophants that fucked this for the rest of us.  

Now the collective "we" need to be "brave" and hope there are no lingering effects and put unpaid college athletes at risk because you need your football?  Your lack of critical thinking skills, magical thinking, and delusional sense of American exceptionalism and entitlement are the problem. 

The virus doesn't give a shit if you're on the left or the right, and even putting the short or longer term potential health issues aside, the amount of liability the universities would be taking on here is absurd.   

The mental gymnastics required to believe that a career conman who has completely mishandled the virus from day 1 is not at the root of the problem is Olympic level stupidity. Sure, blame the university presidents that don't want a decade of liability lawsuits or the conference commish for listening to those around him because it suits your blind loyalty to a career conman. And congrats - you totally owned the libs! - so much so that the fall UM football we love was cancelled.
