The Athletic Bracketology: Michigan Now a 1 Seed
This is probably a given at this point, but The Athletic's Bracket Watch moves Michigan up to a 1 seed. I would expect the same movement will take place with Lunardi and most of the rest of the bracketologists. Here's the relevant section about Michigan:
• The big change this week? Michigan ascends to a No. 1 seed.
This was pretty much a no-brainer, even before Texas lost to Texas Tech on Wednesday night. The Wolverines are 11-0 and have risen to No. 3 in the NET behind Gonzaga and Baylor. While their résumé isn’t as perfect as their record — the only notable win away from Crisler Center was at Maryland — they get an A-plus on the eye test. The complete demolition of Wisconsin, which was a No. 2 seed on our board last week, was as impressive as anything we’ve seen all season. The Wolverines move ahead of Villanova, which will eventually, you know, need to play basketball again. One could make an argument for putting Texas ahead of the idle Wildcats, but only if one blacked out during ’Nova’s win over the Longhorns last month in Austin.

Keep doing what you've been doing and keep having fun! I personally love watching this team play with enthusiasm.

I would say we have probably the best chance of winning the conference based on our current record and upcoming schedule. We lucked out with only getting Iowa and Illinois one time each, and both at home; also we have a Wisconsin victory in the bank. 15 wins I think is the magic number for a B1G championship this year. If we win the B1G outright and win at least one game in the conference tournament, I would say we should be in-line for a 1 seed.

The irrational anti-Michigan "you haven't played anyone" bias against our resume is 100% real. We just beat 3 ranked teams in a row, and we're still getting the resume nitpicks. What do we have to do to prove ourselves? Beat Gonzaga on the road? It's absurd

Uh, read again. Objectively, the road games were relatively easy, none coming against ranked teams. That's a fact. And the author acknowledges that Michigan scores an A+, citing "The complete domination of Wisconsin...[being] as impressive as anything we've seen all season."
I think you're barking up the wrong tree. They just called Michigan a 1 seed and that they played the most impressive game they've seen all season and you're still trying to play the disrespekt card.

Sure, he said we're a one seed off the "eye test," but right before that he said we didn't have a great resume when that is just not true anymore

Meanwhile Gonzaga barely has a real challenge from December until the tourney. Sure Gonzaga plays a loaded non-con schedule but they then proceed to play 20 games against teams all worse than the worst BIG team.

Let them get comfortable and soft. While our team gets hard as nails.

I'll admit, a big thought on seeing this, is now more people in my pool will take Michigan to win it. Was hoping it to be just me.
THIS IS THE YEAR. GO BLUE

Hmm...wonder if there's any correlation to the last time M was a 1 seed...

the game on the road vs Minnesota will be really interesting.
Minnesota is a different team at the Barn, so if Michigan pulls out a win there, it will be telling.
Will be interesting to see what they do on offense; would not be surprised to see Michigan come out with some different things to throw Minnesota off

I have a bad feeling about tomorrow, hope it's just because I have to work.
