Not included here but Macdonald's contract is incentive laden. I think like $50k for top 2 BIG10 defense and $50k for every win 9 and above.

Mo Linguist has some buyout stipulations that require him to pay 25 of salary for the given year if he leaves. 50 percent if he leaves for another BIG10 team. Stipulations expire after 2022. Buyout is voided if he becomes a head coach or becomes a coordinator at a non BIG10 team or Michigan changes head coach. Same goes for Hart and Bellamy.

Are those buyouts for assistant coaches normal? I hadn't heard of them before, but they seem like a good idea. Obviously you don't wanna require a guy to have a buyout to be an HC because no one would sign that contract, but it seems like a small price to pay for better staff retention.

I’m excited to see the next few years with this staff. Do we have a recruiting bump into consistent top 5 status? What are they like on the field as coaches? Do we have less transfers due to a more relatable staff? Do we have less staff turnover? On field results?
