Anyone else in hot water with the Mrs?

I gambled by watching the game within earshot of the better half and lost.  My F-laced outbursts both good (Poole) and bad (Mo chin foul, MAAR missed lay up) brought my lovely but non-sports understanding wife of 8 years to startled tears, soon followed by a blubbering "You have to hold yourself to a higher standard of comportment" lecture.  She wasn't wrong.  I was pretty bad.  It felt so good.  I'm still smiling.  Jordan Poole.  Texted a buddy and he informed me he too was in hot water with his wife!  Good times.

Lesson: If you marry someone whose college sports passion is less than 10% of yours, watch the game in the same zip code at your own peril.

Anyone else earn spousal heat tonight over some short term turrets?

Daughter a Spartan, ( soon to be also a Eastern Michigan Huron, I think it has to do with the colors of green and white as the school colors where she teaches are also green and white) , son a Michigan Man. Wife leans to Sparty. She watched the game with me and let out an excited scream of happiness when that shot splashed through! Then she insisted I put on ESPN after to watch the replays. Maybe there is some hope to pull her from the dark side and make her True Blue!

My girlfriend is in Tennessee visiting her cousins, I texted her with excitement and glee!! She promptly asked if they had won....right after I sent her a video of Poole's shot. St. Patty's day, amirite?

I would never be with anyone who acted like that. My gf was going crazy with me. That being said she falls asleep during games sometimes but always is happy to wake up to celebration. You should never feel guilty about being happy.

We (they) have a rule (for me): No yelling at the TV after bedtime. When I eventually came to bed, wife asked, "Win or lose?" I said, "We won on a buzzer-beater." She said, "I wasn't sure from the sound you made."

Of 21 years was right next to me on the couch last night yelling and screaming like I was! I got lucky my wife loves Michigan football and basketball just as much as I do! And luckily we never had any kids, so we can be as loud as we want!

my wife was not passionate, or understanding of my passion for sports. I don’t care about the whole “have perspective” yada yada bullshit. I work damn hard for my family and when it comes down to it they understand that sports is a distraction from reality that keeps me sane for a few hours, or ten hours straight.

My twelve year old and I screamed for about 60 seconds. We were crazy ecstatic. Our three year old awoke, she soothed him then came down to the basement to ask how Michigan won. Said, “Great. Jordan’s my favorite.” Went upstairs. Tolerance is the key to marriage.

I am the wife. This is crazy. Husband and I made sure to get my parents to watch them all day. My birthday was a week ago but we chose this weekend to ask for a day and night for them to go over. We were both screaming at the bar and was the best birthday and st pattys day! We hung out with sparty friends early and they gave up and we had an amazing night watching the game together. Today on the other hand was not fun after all that lol.
