Any word if they are putting out a season Blu-ray?

For those that were not around or aware after the 97 championship someone put out a VHS with booklet box set so I'm hoping someone is going to do something similar this time around. Has anyone seen or heard if the school or mden is making a set?

Does anyone still have their 97 box set??

I have both the 1969-1976 and 1977-1980 volumes on cassette and vinyl and have transferred the latter to digital. Haven't gotten around to the former yet.

Still like this edited production better than the raw feed on the CD releases like Maximum Meechigan, Five Decades of U of M Football, Ufer on Air, and The Ohio State years.

I like that in theory and the price seems reasonable, but I'm guessing everything they're doing is illegal. I found some random Russian? website that has torrent files for the entire season that works pretty well. If there was a legit official DVD/blu ray I might buy, but I'm mainly trying to fill up hard drive space with games I've been to or other big games.

EDIT: Read the FAQs and they didn't mention that they're officially licensed (because clearly they aren't) and the packaging is "plain white sleeves". Yeah this is illegal as hell (which I don't have a problem with per se, but I sure as hell won't help someone make money by doing something illegal).

EDIT 2: They sell some bizarre stuff. You can get the Eagles 2023 season to relive it. I can't imagine there's an Eagles fan in the world that wants to relive that disaster of a finish to the season. Likewise for the 2023 Cowboys set.

If they put one out, I'd buy it... but I'd be doubtful about any sort of release given the varied rights holders for the game footage under the new TV contract. Trying to negotiate to get the video rights needed to put something together seems more difficult than the sales medium.

Physical media isn't dead - still over $1B/year in US sales. Plenty of geeks tweaking out about the releases - see https://www.blu-ray.com and https://thedigitalbits.com.

That said, I've got both a working VCR in my setup and the 1997 highlights and VCR recordings of game films from that era, as well as a bunch of DVD-R recordings... and 2,000+ CD's too.
