Any reports on Beaver and Newsome?
I am very pleased with the 2 Freshman QB's we have but was curious if anyone had updates on Newsome and/or Beaver. RR said on signing day he didn't think he could have gotten 2 better spread QB's than Tate and Denard and I agree.
Before fall practice I was under the impression that Newsome was unlikely to play as a Frosh. Beaver, I do not know his prognosis for playing time down there in Tulsa. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure Beaver is going to be starting.
And Newsome has to play, he's their #2 QB and their #1 is (obviously) a senior.

I can't see him holding up through a college season. He look very thin and while fast, was not overly elusive.

Wow, thanks, I had no idea Beaver was going to start or Newsome was number 2 for that matter. It is going to be fun to watch these 4 progress this season.

I only talk about players that play for Michigan.
On a serious note, I am actually interested in what's going on with them.

Newsome really needs work from what I've seen.. a big physical talent who's incredibly raw. Beaver will be in to run for sure.

I know he didn't commit, then back out but everything I hear about him is that he is phenomenal.

He basically said if Pryor didn't commit then he would... and then didn't.

Actually, I've heard that Shepard is a great athlete but lacks quarterbacking skills.

I've read somewhere (sorry, can't remember) is that Bryce McNeal is likely to redshirt.

Star Tribune? I think I remember reading it in there some time last week

Officially, Tulsa has all 3 QBs tied atop the depth chart for their first game (see page 14 in that link).
This article (admittedly a few days old) says that Kinne looks to be the starter for Tulsa, but Beaver should see some PT:

Fans should also expect to see Beaver on the field as well. He is still learning the offense, but there is no denying his ability to make plays, especially with his feet. He is a true dual-threat quarterback that can flat out make things happen in the open field when he leaves the pocket.

Beaver will vanish once Big Bob Bolden gets there.

Bolden is going to PSU.

Sorry, meant Newsome.

Both could disappear with P. Jones coming in

Shephard would have been an awesome get though.

I only talk about the players who play for Michigan.

Thanks, I just had it stuffed.
