I would stay up-to-date, but

I would stay up-to-date, but you might run the risk of "getting in trouble."

Fortunately, I am getting married in A2 tomorrow and then tailgating and going to the game with my wife on Saturday!

Best part:  it was her idea.

Worse part:  she's a Spartan.

Worst part:  a lot of my friends are trash-talking Spartans, including my best man.

I told her if Michigan doesn't win, we're getting an annulment on Monday and she'll have to wait until next year.  I was only kidding, though.  Mostly.

I'll bite my tongue on this I'll bite my tongue on this one. Lets just say it's a bad sign when you start a thread with "I'm drunk."
I have 2 tix for tomorrow's

I have 2 tix for tomorrow's game.  I'd like to sell them for face value ($50 each).  I also have 2 tix to the BG game.

Vince Young.

Vince Young.

Hilarious.  I think we all

Hilarious.  I think we all needed that.

Ok, just read that it's not

Ok, just read that it's not long-term.  However, it's still something that can follow you - especially, if you are seeking certain professional careers.

Wow.  Read Blazefire and The

Wow.  Read Blazefire and The Fannman's posts again and ask yourself "what is the likelihood of anything good coming from my sacrifice?"  I realize the dynamics and politics of the workplace are a factor, but you should think about getting the right people on your side and fighting this one - or you may pay dearly for someone else's mistake.

Remember, years down the road as people and positions change, there may be no one to remember the context of the situation.  The paperwork will probably not say, "Reason for termination:  Blue in South Bend is a hell of a worker but took the fall for H.R. Fuckup, Jr's huge ass clerical error."  This is especially true when H.R. Fuckup Jr. is the one who fills out the paperwork.

You should at least ask about these issues and you definitely deserve a better explanation than "something about a paperwork screw-up."

I started my second go 'round

I started my second go 'round as a lacto-ovo-vegetarian two weeks ago.  I've lost about 4 lbs. since then.  It always seems that people are one extreme or the other when trying to be healthy.  I think the video below provides an interesting - yet simple - concept for those who aren't ready to give up their juicy steaks.

The idea is to eat vegetarian during the week while allowing yourself the meat option on the weekends (vid is about 6 minutes).

You have to include the line,

You have to include the line, "two guys we can win with."

Bad idea to post your email - Bad idea to post your email - especially, your work email.
I didn't neg you and you may I didn't neg you and you may have a point. However, I couldn't help but notice that you just made some pretty bold statements about a historical figure that you've never met in person. Just sayin'.
It's funny that you made a It's funny that you made a typo writing typo ("type"). Edit: To comment on the actual topic, that is terrible.
Gotta love electives. It was Gotta love electives. It was a great class and I actually learned quite a bit. If I remember correctly, it was a shortened class for less credit. I took astronomy the next term. Maybe the class isn't very useful in the business world, but it's great for the random Jeopardy question!
The Michigan guy was my prof The Michigan guy was my prof for a Dinosaurs class I took in undergrad. I've also seen him on the Discovery channel.
No kidding. He would take No kidding. He would take this as a compliment.
Many freshman posters Many freshman posters struggle with forming logical arguments and they continue to struggle forming logical arguments throughout their MGoCareers. I don't think you will ever be a great poster (few are). [edit: that could come across as more dick-ish than I intended. I just don't see where your argument is coming from. I prefer not to count Tate out based on his freshman season and the fact that many other QB's struggle. I also think the "lack of competitive drive" is completely bogus.]
Tate lacks competitive drive? Tate lacks competitive drive? Am I missing something? That seems like one of his strongest attributes to me.
Put'em in a body bag, Put'em in a body bag, Manny!!!
Don't have a "nuclear" Don't have a "nuclear" meltdown about it. Sorry, couldn't help myself. Some friendly advice: you can't win this battle for the simple fact that this discussion has nothing to do with you and, yet, you keep making it about yourself. With that said, yes, your accomplishments are impressive. Feel better?
This thread couldn't have This thread couldn't have come at a better time. My comp just got the blue screen over the weekend. Many thanks to the op and those giving advice. Mgobloggin' just isn't the same on my phone.
Maybe this has less to do Maybe this has less to do with publicity and charity and more to do with the fact that, pious or not, he's a warm-blooded male and she's beautiful.
He tweeted this during the He tweeted this during the interview.
He knows lots of people watch
He knows lots of people watch him each week so he uses that space to advertise his faith in a subtle way.
I wouldn't describe the advertisement of his faith as subtle.
Both are awesome. Thanks for Both are awesome. Thanks for sharing!
How dare you compare your How dare you compare your neg-storm to Katrina! I'm disgusted.
I was just going to mention I was just going to mention this. Don't forget, the announcer said he was a "well-documented" disciplinarian. It's also funny with Winston running around out there.
I would much rather see a I would much rather see a Tebow-esqe lovefest than the type of media attention we've been getting prior to this season. I'm also ok with the rest of the country hating Michigan - as long as it's because we're winning!
I know a lot has changed I know a lot has changed economically, so I don't know how things work now, but it used to be common to hire students during the summer - for a lot less money.
Lyrics As soon as I read the thread title, I thought of this song. However, I didn't realize how great the words fit until I listened to it again.
Try to be best ‘Cause you’re only a man And a man’s gotta learn to take it Try to believe Though the going gets rough That you gotta hang tough to make it History repeats itself Try and you’ll succeed Never doubt that you’re the one And you can have your dreams! You’re the best! Around! Nothing’s gonna ever keep you down You’re the Best! Around! Nothing’s gonna ever keep you down You’re the Best! Around! Nothing’s gonna ever keep you dow-ow-ow-ow-own Fight ‘til the end Cause your life will depend On the strength that you have inside you Ah you gotta be proud starin’ out in the cloud When the odds in the game defy you Try your best to win them all and one day time will tell when you’re the one that’s standing there you’ll reach the final bell! [chorus] INSPIRING GUITAR SOLO [chorus] Fight ‘til you drop never stop can’t give up Til you reach the top (FIGHT!) you’re the best in town (FIGHT!) Listen to that sound A little bit of all you got Can never bring you down You’re the best! Around! Nothing’s gonna ever keep you down You’re the Best! Around!
My bad. I actually meant to My bad. I actually meant to embed the Karate Kid / Soulja Boy Remix.
(No subject)
Top Gun analogy is funny but Top Gun analogy is funny but the Coner pic killed me. Great job.
I only talk about players I only talk about players that play for Michigan. On a serious note, I am actually interested in what's going on with them.
Ridiculous Ridiculous assertion. tomhagan mentioned this to the OP but there are a few people who are missing missing the point. The creditor was screwed over as well as Rodriguez and other guarantors. Who does the creditor have the best chance of getting his money from - the criminal debtor who defaulted or the guarantor(s) making millions? Although not always involving criminal investment schemes, this is an everyday occurrence in the business world. This has absolutely nothing to do with being guilty of a crime or conspiring with shady charactors. Terrible timing though.
Unfortunately, I don't Unfortunately, I don't believe they have the Leaders and Best working on the Media Center. I don't understand why they don't do anything about it. It seems to be a common problem.
You're going to cause a lot You're going to cause a lot of fear that a "police chase" involved an M player or recruit. That fear will turn to anger and chastising that this needs an "OT" descriptor. Anyway, my thoughts on the story: even though it's completely ridiculous, the police will probably get sued.
Underground Printing I've worked with them a number of times. Although I dealt with the East Lansing store, the service and quality was always excellent. In fact, I think the shirts are distributed from Ann Arbor anyway. I look forward to picking up some shirts.
I see what you're saying. I see what you're saying. I'll bet you the contrast in responses are directly correlated to news we want to hear and news we don't.
Agreed, but I wouldn't put Agreed, but I wouldn't put Threet in the same sentence as Wermers and Boren. Threet left without bashing Michigan. Plus he was put into a couple tough situations with coaching / style changes that make his decision more understandable. But again, thanks for the great post.
I also wanted to say thanks. I also wanted to say thanks. A "+1" just isn't enough.
Ha.
"I love it," Wermers said
Ha. "I love it," Wermers said of singing. "It gives me a chance to get away from big jocky athletic guys and hang out with a different group of people."
Ha. I do no know Brodie nor Ha. I do not know Brodie nor have I ever conversed with him. However, I've been on here enough to know that this is a typical Brodie response to what he perceives as stupid or ridiculous. There are a lot of posts insinuating racism and this is likely his way of saying exactly what you just said. His style is bold, sarcastic, and often taken the wrong way. You can easily tell his sarcastic responses from his real thoughts. Compare this post to his recent diary.
Great post. That got me Great post. That got me fired up. I stated this earlier, but I wish I knew exactly what he was referring to by the "wrong crowd."
True. That was just my True. That was just my initial reaction and it could apply to any aspect of life. Of course, it's also important to enjoy the journey. If he had little opportunity to play (as people say - I don't know) then maybe this is best for him.
"More competitive" was "More competitive" was probably not the right choice of words but the way RR brings out competitiveness is likely different. "Different" was probably a better choice. I am not insinuating that Lloyd did not put his best players.
Those are not the words of a Those are not the words of a winner. Successful athletes know that every day isn't going to be "happy time." What separates the winners is that they push through to reach a goal - happiness comes from reaching that goal.
Certainly. But the Certainly. But the atmosphere that brings out the best guys may be completely different.
I agree.
RR frequently
I agree. RR frequently alludes to competitiveness and probably creates a more competitive environment than Carr did. If this is the case, the players that aren't used to RR's philosophy and lack the competitive "edge" may feel that it is more about business than family.
The RR comment didn't seem The RR comment didn't seem nasty. Not getting along happens; you can't please everyone. A lot of other people have praised the program for its family atmosphere so this doesn't really bother me. However, I wonder what he meant by this: "They were bringing in a lot of different kids that were not my kind of crowd."
This exact thing happened to This exact thing happened to me a few weeks ago. It went blue and then E 74'd the next time I turned it on. Thankfully, the repair process is pretty painless and quick. My local UPS guy said he gets about 8 a day - not really surprising but still ridiculous.
