Jokes aside, you don't need to post this thread. If there was news, somebody would post it. If there were rumblings on a pay site, someone would come over here and post it. If somebody had a relative close to the situation, they would tell us. If somebody had an unsubstantiated feeling in their balls, they would share it.

The answer to any "Has anybody heard...?" question is always no.

I assume the recruiting visit weekend is over unless it was extended by the holiday weekend. I'm wondering if there is any news about how the visits went for the big time recruits. I guess I'm just kind of surprised we have 5 stars on campus visiting, which hasnt happened a ton lately and there isnt a lot of buzz about it.

Our fanbase is turning into one of the worst in the country. For years the worst things you could say about Michigan fans was that we were quieter than some of our peer institutions and we were arrogant about our tradition, most wins in CFB history, etc.

The dominance of The SEC and OSU have made our fans think acting like them is the way to go. Problem is, we're just acting. Everything is halfassed, divided, stolen and little brotherish.

From "you suck, bitch" to booing just because it's "funny"...it's all super lame. It's like if we were 5-5 and rushed the field after being MSU. That's what you losers look/sound like.

I'm not suggesting we have to be the wine and cheese crowd we used to be (Michigan and Texas were always called that), but we don't have to be this either.

Michigan fans were ROUTINELY considered one of the best by fans on the road...even OSU fans! We would go to Columbus and get batteries thrown at us and jumped and they would come here and get a "good game" or "fuck off" and nothing more. Their local TV station even did an investigation by coming to The Game in Ann Arbor as OSU fans and then in Columbus as Michigan fans. That was the GOOD part of our arrogance that we held over them. Now we're the same but without the wins to show for it.

The vocal minority is becoming the majority because no one is stopping them and saying that shit ain't cool. Maybe it'll take Harbaugh reaching out to the students, especially the vocal diehards who lead many of the "cheers."

There has to be a happy medium between this and the old "down in front" blue hairs of yesteryear that expected you to basically golf clap all game...fuck that as well.

Minus "you suck" the UTL game was probably PEAK Michigan Stadium...we were loud, the maize pom poms looked great on TV, it was a true home field advantage but without the wannabe SEC, OSU bullshit. It felt like a new Michigan. Playing a night, different jerseys, LOUD AS FUCK, pom poms, LOUDER THAN EVER, screw you "down in front old person," LOOOOOUD! Sure it wasn't perfect, but it wasn't this either.

End rant. And if you tell me this should've been a Diary post, you suck, bitch.

I don't think they are becoming the majority, but the are becoming more numerous and vocal.  Unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to stop them.  Say something and it is a virtual certainty that the response will be something along the line of, "F you.  I paid for my ticket and I can say what I want."

Get off my lawn time, but I think this is just the beginning of the manifestation of people who heavily rely on interacting electronically being suddenly thrown into a social situation.

I am a diehard Michigan fan and I unfortunately could not agree more with your sentiment about the fanbase. It is unfortunate that the moron part of our fanbase has become so loud.  It is amazing how many negative takes there were from our first game in which there was never a part in the game where I was one bit concerned about a victory.  Even around these parts there were fans coming out of hibernation that we had not heard from all offseason and they were giving their idiotic takes in the game and snowflakes thread.  This is pure speculation from me, but if McCaffery starts on Saturday night, I don't think he would have even had 2 TD passes.  This is not a hit on him, but more of a praise on Shea.  My guess is next year when Dylan struggles a bit, we will be hearing about how great Milton is.  It must be exhausting to some of these fans never being happy.

You mean to tell me that the backup QB is the most popular guy on the team? What a revelation. But in all seriousness, this has always been the case, it just is becoming more prevalent with the "everyone has a voice" nature of social media so that every idiot feels like they have a point worth sharing.
